Rather than send him back in time, he now remembered having gone to Jusenkyo with his father.
He remembered getting knocked into Spring Of Drowned Girl per the original.
He remembered grabbing the pole on the way down, avoiding Spring Of Drowned Girl, swinging up -
and getting knocked into another pool by a stupid oyaji who still hadn't figured out that this was a bad idea!
Of course he'd landed on a spring that had been dried up and boarded off, but his impact had caused the waters to rise up around him while he'd been laying there dazed.
Resulting in the newest cursee of Spring Of Drowned
