"Well, that's different," Nabiki commented wryly.
"What are you talking about?" Akane snapped. "He's still as big a jerk as always."
"I meant the frying pan technique," Nabiki observed, pointing to the Ranma-face-shaped dent. "Apparently your new 'useful cooking skills' are martial arts based. Typical Ranma; everything's martial arts to him."
Akane looked down at the pan in her hands, then at her new chef uniform/dogi. A serine smile started to spread across her face.
"Oh dear," Kasumi remarked. "Do you really think it was a good idea to hit Ranma like that? I hope the power doesn't go to his head."
Akane's smile stopped widening and turned upside down. "This is Ranma we're talking about. Of course it'll go to his head!"
Nabiki began to sweat and nervously asked, "but he doesn't hold a grudge, right?"
"You're kidding, right?" Akane retorted worridly. "He's always picking on Ryoga!"
"That doesn't count," Nabiki assured herself. "That's martial arts rivalry, isn't it?"
"But didn't you just say everything was martial arts to him?" Kasumi asked while slipping a pillow under Ranma's head after bundling him into a roll of blankets.
"Akane, maybe w- you'd better start being nicer to him?" Nabiki suggested.
Just then Ranma recovered, sat up and said, "that's it: ..."
