Pausing for a moment, Morrigan asked, "Saotome, huh?"
Nodding vigorously, the boy with candles strapped to his head replied, "Yes, he keeps the gorgeous Akane Tendo away from me. If not for him..." Unable to complete his sentence, he slumped to his knees, feeling that it was lost. "Who am I kidding," he thought, "She's not going to help me."
A wicked smile grew on Morrigan's face, "Tell me how you opened that gate."

As evening fell, Morrigan stood near an old shrine centered in a park, with the sun's final rays dancing off of the buildings in the distance. She wasn't alone; Morrigan stood next to her mother, Morragan, who preferred to use the name Kurumi while on earth.
"I cannot believe a spell of that nature would actually work," Kurumi wondered aloud, while examining the extra-dimensional spell that was eons old. This spell, lost to the annals of time, could very well be tampered with the completely bridge the gap between the worlds. That, however, was not her greatest concern at the moment. "Morrigan," she quietly began, "lets go meet your father, Soun."
Elsewhere...
"Mr. Tendo, don't you care that Akane is trying to kill us with that stuff she calls food?!!?" Ranma asked, exasperated.
"It doesn't matter Saotome," came the response from the short-haired middle Tendo sister. Before Ranma could say something really dumb, she continued in a hushed tone, "Father is worse when there is a blood-moon."
"A blood-moon?" Ranma asked, confused.
"It is also called a 'Harvest Moon'," she wasn't satisfied with the confused look on Ranma's face, "when the moon is big, and has a reddish tint in the sky." Noting Ranma's nod, she added, "Mom died during a blood-moon."
Before the conversation could continue, however, Akane declared that dinner was ready!
