A lone figure made her way past the gates of the Tendo home, and up to the front door. She paused for a moment as she pulled out a small hand mirror to check herself over. Perfect long wavy blond hair, not a strand out of place, check. Not a single wrinkle to mar her perfectly tanned California beach girl face, double check. Powder blue business suit with skirt just long enough to be legal without a speck of dirt, lint or wrinkle, triple check. A body that could cause men and/or women to kill for, check-a-roonie. She snapped the hand mirror closed, slipping it back into her pocket, and knocked on the door.
She absently twirled her finger around a lock of her hair as she waited. A moment later the door opened and Kasumi stood there. “Oh, hello there. Can I help you Miss?” Kasumi asked politely, “Or are you here to see Mr. Satome and Ranma.”
The visitor smiled, her hand dropping to her side. “Like, I hope you can.” She bubbled excitedly, her baby blue eyes trying to make contact with Kasumi’s eyes. “Ya see my name is Sindell. I’m kinda, like new to your little burg, and I seem to have lost my computer type laptop thing around here somewhere. I’ve been going door to door, for what seems like days now, trying to see if anyone might have, like, found it. Ya haven’t seen it, have ya?”
Kasumi blinked in awe as the visitor finally paused to take a breath. Hearing valley speak in perfect Japanese with no accent was a bit discerning in itself. “Oh my, no I’m sorry Miss…Sindell was it. I haven’t seen anything like that.”
Sindell pouted, “Ya sure, it’s like all sleek an black an just cool looking. It’s very important to me and stuff.” She pleaded.
Kasumi shook her head sadly. “I am sorry, but I haven’t left home at all today. But if we find it, is there anyway we can contact you?”
Sindell seemed to deflate as she reached into a pocket to pull out a business card, and handed it to Kasumi. “Here ya go. It’s like, it’s my number. Please call if you find it, it’s totally important to me.” She waited for a moment for Kasumi to take the card, then turned to go.
Kasumi took the offered card, reading over it once before looking up at the retreating form. “I shall miss. Hope you do find it.” As she turned back into the home, closing the door behind her.
Sindell waited until she was down the block before she exploded. “Like DAMMIT. I totally know that was the right place. I saw that bo-hunk take the bait and bring it back to there.” She continued down the street, oblivious to the all the looks she was receiving, from either her looks or her ranting. “Like, if I don’t get that computer back before he starts offing Lord D’s generals, they’re going to start popping out who knows where he’s got it stashed. And they’re not going to be happy with me if they appear in some total geek’s room.”
She turned to look back down the street towards the Tendo house, glaring. “No, like I totally know it’s in there. The question is like, how much of it will still be standing before I get it back.”
