Nabiki Belmont: Towards the first General [Episode 73727]

by Toolman19

Nabiki slammed the huge dinning room doors closed, leaning hard against them as she furiously scanned around her for anything to bar the doors with. She gasped for breath in relief as she spied the pair of metal flagpoles flanking the doors. “YES!” she shouted as with a flick of her wrist she had the end of her whip around a pole, yanking it towards her.

She barely had enough time to grab it and slip it through the door handles before the doors crashed outwards, bulging as the pole held the doors closed. Nabiki flicked the whip out again to snag the second pole, slipping it on top of it’s twin as the force on the other side of the door backed off.

”Aw, come on baby, we just wanted to party with you.” As a whiney high-pitched voice came from the other side of the door, others soon joining along side of it. “Yeah, you’ve got great bone structure, why hide it under all of that ugly flesh.” “Man, I’m glad we got that pole installed down in the barracks.” “Come on, show us that pelvis.”

Nabiki backed away from the door as the rhythmic sound of chanting of ‘Take it off’ was matched by the beating on the blocked door.

”Damn skeletons, they’re worse letchers than Grandfather Happosi. Though if he isn’t hiding somewhere in here, I would be surprised.” She muttered as she turned from the door and stalked down the plush hallway.

Her entire body felt as heavy as lead when she moved. Akane would have loved all of this, the constant fighting and destruction, where as she had quickly grown tired of it in the first five minutes. A few more hours of this, and at this thought Nabiki shuddered, if Dracula appeared right in front of her and promised the return of her father and little sister for her joining him, it might only take her less than five minutes to try and wrangle herself a better position than as one of his vampiric handmaidens. Although, if someone offered her a nice long chance to relax, she definitely would have given them a sweet deal on some choice Akane candid shots.

At least all of her luck wasn’t all bad in this. Back in the main hall, she was saved from a sneak attack from a lucky zombie when a large stone bust broke off from the ceiling and crushed its head in, just missing herself as well. At least it seemed like the castle was on her side.

Nabiki checked the hallway as the pounding and chanting behind her started to drift off. “Great,” she muttered. “They either know another way in here, or their getting something to break the door down.” She picked up her pace as she made her way down the hall, the single door a head of her being the only other way out. “Either way, I sure don’t plan to be here, or even want to think on how they want me to ‘take it off’”.

She shuddered as that morbid thought lept unwanted into her mind, a skeletal Nabiki doing a pole dance for a bunch of rowdy male skeletons. “Nope, no way. Not going to happen this century.”

She readied her whip as she neared the door, ready for anything.
