Bowing slightly, Auberon spoke, "Your Majesty, I think we need to send Tom Olman out to investigate the kingdom."
Ludwig spoke slowly. "It must be important if you are using my title, old friend. Very well."
Turning to a group of people sitting around a table discussing defense strategies, the king addressed them.
"Captain Olman, would you please do as Auberon requests. I'd also like for you to take Morrolan and Marianne with you."
Tom Olman replied, "Of course, your Majesty."
As Tom Olman stood up, a woman and another man did so as well. They all bowed to King Ludwig and left. As Ludwig and Auberon watched them go, the Faerie King shuddered.
Ludwig asked, "What is wrong?"
"It is just that I have a feeling that whatever is out there is going to change the way things are going one way or the other or maybe in an entirely different direction that neither we, the Seelie, or the Unseelie could have forseen."
"So you don't think it is an Unseelie plot?"
Auberon shook his head. "No."

Elsewhere in Bayern, Lina and Gourry had marched along and spotted their first city. Instead of going into the city right away, Lina sat down on a hill overlooking it and examined the city.
"This is not our world. I have no idea where we are. They have some sort of golem technology, but the way their dressed...."
