Red Rover Et Al: Contract breaking. [Episode 7498]

by Jryu

The nameless clerk of Furries 4 U shook his head as he felt Mary return to the store, with her owner and the succubus. He had hoped that this wouldn't happen... but some people just don't get it.

Shaking his head, he decided he better get this over with. This wasn't his co-worker's problem, after all, and he liked to clean up his own messes.

With a thought, the Clerk shifted from his 'apartment' to the back room of the store. He grimaced at the site before him.

Mary's back, buttocks, and legs was crisscrossed with welts, some of them still bleeding. Her wings were missing a lot of feathers, too. Lilith, normally a forceful and confident presence was in tears. And their owner, er, ex-owner was in a separate cage, and confused by what had happened.

The Clerk walked up to the pets. Mary was unconscious - for the best, that had to hurt a good deal. A few healing spells fixed most the damage, but the clerk was sure it would be some time before Mary was comfortable enough to go back on sale. She'd have to be put in a temporary home... but Marilyn was usually available and willing for that sort of thing.

He turned to Lilith. Tears streamed down the succubus' face. "He told me to keep going..." she mumbled, not even aware of the Clerk's presence. "She didn't like it, but he told me to keep going..." The Clerk sighed, and used a spell to induce Lilith to sleep. She had come to them a shy, quite girl wanting to let out her wild side, but ultimately, Lilith didn't like really hurting anyone. She liked S&M, but only if her partner was also into it.

That was a problem with the obedience training the pets go under - they'd do what their owners told them even if they knew it was wrong. Maybe he should work on tweaking that...

Well, enough stalling. Now he had to deal with Hiroshi.

He walked over to the cage the ex-owner was in. "Really, you had her less than a day, and managed to not only torment her, but turned your other pet into an emotional wreck in the process as well. I think that must be some sort of record."

"Wh...what am I doing here?!" Hiroshi demanded.

"Oh, no." The Clerk said harshly. "You are not pulling that sort of crap here. Say what you will about the sign in the store, but our lawyers made sure this was explicitly stated in the contracts you signed. Not in any fine print, either! Right up front, it says that Malicious abuse or neglect of your pets will result in immediate prosecution, transfurrmation, and being put up for sale.

"Really, I'm surprised at you. If you had just been deemed as unable or unwilling to provide what your pets need, we'd have only taken them from you. But no... you had to order Lilith to keep torturing Mary when it was obvious that neither pet liked what they were doing.

"Now it will take some time and effort before those two can be sold again... nobody wants an emotionally scarred pet, and we wouldn't sell them that way, anyway. But that's all right... I'm sure you'll sell well. After some changes, that is..."

The Clerk walked away, letting Hiroshi stew while he worked up what to do to him. Really, he was amending his earlier thought. Maybe Tokyo wasn't such a good move. It seemed that there were a lot of unsuitable people around here, and he cared for the welfare of the pets, too.

He took a moment to check in on the other recent sales. Ranma and Yuka didn't look like they would be a problem. Daisuke and the Hikaru boy... they were iffy, but didn't seem to have a problem yet. He was really worried about Ko-Ko, though. She wouldn't be the first pet they'd sold for bodyguard purposes... but many times their owners let it get to their heads. And they did not sell pets for cock-fighting!

He looked in disgust at Sanzenin. He seemed to think his new mermaid was just some fancy form of sex toy. He'd even forgotten to feed her! It hadn't triggered a recall, or counted as Malicious Neglect... yet. But he didn't doubt that it would happen before long.

Although he didn't like to think it, he hoped Sanzenin would be brought in for Malicious behavior. He didn't like the thought of Tachi suffering through that, but Sanzenin was one of those kind of people who SHOULD be turned into something inoffensive.

Hmmm... maybe he should bring this up to Yuka the next time he saw her. She might be able to arrange something suitable even if he didn't get pulled here...

Anyway, he needed to decide what to do about Hiroshi. Not to mention what to do with that Azusa girl from earlier... hmmm... maybe make them a pair, and sell them together? Some people like that sort of thing...
