One might have assumed that this was something both very weird and very unlikely to have ever been seen before.. but one might also be mistaken.
Inside the immortal gates of time, Sailor Pluto screamed in pain from the force of her migraine. Most things that exist in time either are 're-programmed' into accepting changes in their past or else cease to exist entirely. Basically the world 'reboots' and the new information erases the old. Being inside the time gates though kept the memories of the last 'boot' within her mind.
Therefore, whenever the time-line changes all of the new 'data' is simply added in on top of the files already loaded beforehand. This means that for Setsuna, she had just had millenia's of new data force-fed into her brain all at once into a previous empty portion of her mind. The shock and the pain of such events were horrendous.. well explaining most of her personality traits and pursuit of a single timeline with a zealous mindset.
This meant that Setsuna was really steamed at suddenly having the new memories of Ranma's previous existance hammered into her head.
Setsuna didn't care that once upon a time the moon cat advisors had petitioned their queen for the right to protect her.
Setsuna didn't care that Luna and Artemis gave the ultimate sacrifice and let their daughter, Ranko, be transformed into a cat/girl hybrid and have her grow up without ever being able to tell her that they were her parents.
Setsuna didn't care that now the two cat advisors would get a chance to have the daughter they would otherwise never have had.
And most of all, Setsuna especially didn't care that with this extra fighter, the world would be a better place and be better off than even if Crystal Tokyo had taken place.
No, the only thing Setsuna cared about right now was ripping out these new memories so the pain would finally stop.
... Even if that meant killing Ranma before he ever had a chance to get into that spring...
