One being that Ranma Saotome was considerably damaged by this, while tougher than Jiro Average - a martial art for withstanding 400 ton battlemechs stomping you into the ground had not been invented by the early 1990s.

In fact, if you were to look at the mess left on the ground, you'd have had trouble recognizing it as Ranma Saotome.

Fortunately, the operators of the giant robot were able to get him to the nearest medic which:

• built a cyborg body that is obviously a cyborg body.
• rebuilt him as an agent.
• saw martial artist and rebuilt him as a different sort.
• decided to get creative.
• did something else.
