"I forgot that the carnival was being set up today," Sakura muttered to herself, and shook her head.
She took a break and watched the workers. She did notice a ride with English letters on it.
"The Dungeons & Dragons ride?" Sakura asked in a bewildered tone of voice. "What is Dungeons & Dragons?"
She went back to where she was practing and restarted her katas. She thought about the weird ride that she had seen. She shook her head and performed all her moves, save her ki blast.
'Might be interesting to see what that is all about.'
After practicing, Sakura thought about getting changed for the carnival.
'Maybe a bit later. It's a little warm for that. Besides, I want to see what that ride is like.'
Sakura entered the carnival grounds and smiled at the antics. She noticed that she wasn't the only one who had forgone the traditonal garb for carnivals. At least until sundown and the dances started.
'Now where is that ride?'
Sakura found the ride and saw that for right now, she was the only one interested in it. She shrugged and sat in the cart. The cart went down the tracks and Saukra shook her head at some of the animatronic monsters.
'Would scare a normal person, but I've seen a real monster in the form of Bison.'
That was when the ride starting getting weird. The tracks started bukcling and a spiral of energy began whirling.
"What's going on?" Sakura asked out loud. "This isn't happening."
The tracks dissappeared and the cart plunged into the vortex of light. Sakura closed her eyes, so not to be blinded. When she opened her eyes, she noticed that she was in a forest made up of trees that had other colors besides green for their leaves. Looking up, her eyes widened in shock due to the fact that there were three suns in the sky.
"Where am I?" Sakura asked. "Is this one of Bison's tricks?"
Sakura jumped out of the cart and strained her senses. She whirled around and spotted a group of five lizard men.
"What?" Sakura asked, as she stepped back. "Am I on the planet of the dinosaurs?"
One of the lizard-men pointed at Sakura with a spear, and rasped out in a hissing voice, "Get the human female. Lord Venger will reward us."
Sakura cracked her knuckles and smiled. 'I'll deal with where I'm at later. I've got a fight to fight.'
The lizard men were expecting the girl to run, not charge at them weaponless. So, they were caught off guard when Sakura jumped up and did a whirlwind kick to two of the lizard men, knocking them into trees. The leader of the lizard men swung his spear at Sakura, who barely pulled back out of the way.
'Theese guys mean business,' Sakura thought, as she used her Flower Kick to brain the leader of the lizard men
As the leader went down, Sakura cupped her hands and focused her ki.
"Hadoken!" Sakura cried, as she let fly with her ki blast and dropping a fourth lizard man.
The final lizard man took one look at Sakura and fled. Sakura stared down at the four creatures that she had dropped.
"I've got to get out of here. They mentioned a Lord Venger. Reinforcements are on their way. I also have to find some food and water. I have the feeling I'm going to be here for a while."
Sakura glanced back at the ride cart and took off in the oppisite direction that the lizard man had gone.
