She frowned as she remembered a sound she hadn't immediately identified as she turned. That could have been scuffling along the roof tiles. If it was then -
Nabiki frowned a little bit more and hurried through her bath. If it was what she thought it was, a bucktoothed ninja hurrying home to inform his Master, then -
CRASH! went the outer wall of the bathing room.
"Nabiki Tendo! I must have words with thee!"
"You're going to pay for this, Kuno-baby," said Nabiki, indicating the towel she had been reaching for, the big hole in the wall and somehow the indignity factor.
"BE SILENT, WOMAN!" Kuno raged. "It has come to my attention that thou hast the means to drive the foul sorcerer away once and for all. Naturally, as a Kuno, I see that this opportunity doth-"
"Ohohohohohohoho!"
ding ding
Nabiki groaned and wrapped the towel a little tighter. Sasuke tells Tatewaki. Kodachi eavesdrops. Kodachi runs into Shampoo and brags about the opportunity to gain Ranma forever. She should have known this would happen.
Next would come the wildly escalating departure from truth that the gossip would take. All factors she knew and usually profited from.
"RANMAAAAAAA!" There was her father trying to browbeat Ranma.
"Eeeep!" There was that ditzy genie getting scared. She'd probably jump up and glomp Ranma in fright, she seemed the sort. If THAT happened then Akane would be certain to walk in right about -
"RANMA YOU PERVERT!"
Nabiki nodded. Cue blunt object of opportunity, more damage to her room since Ranma had probably returned there. She tuned out the babbling kendoist, gymnast approaching at high speeds, and the sounds of a bicycle on the roof. Ukyo was likely still at her restaurant but some customer would be likely to come in with a tale of woe for her, but she wouldn't be able to get away from her business and therefore she'd miss out and fret a lot about it. OR she'd show up without too much of an idea of what was really going on and a bit frustrated at having to turn away business.
Happosai bounced closer to her. "Nabiki-chan!"
Nabiki noticed the crowd getting louder and louder, Kuno getting more attention-seeking, and the crowd getting bigger. Now her father and Mister Saotome were alternatively pleading with her and the djinni, Ranma was unconscious in the fishpond, Akane was fuming and talking about her disinterest to a grinning P-chan in her arms, Mihoshi had her hands over her ears and was wincing at the noise, Kodachi was waving around a handful of low denomination yen notes and insisting on her own deal, Shampoo was saying something that was probably nonsensical and wasn't comprehensible anyway with all the other noise, and Happosai had grabbed her tush.
Anger, something she normally didn't express, came bubbling up as she realized what a wreck her room was.
Tatewaki Kuno started poking her, insisting that his claim was more important than any of the peasants surrounding him.
"ARRRRRRGH!" uncharacteristically vented Nabiki, "you know what I wish? I wish -"
