A chance of what? I don't understand...

In a deserted street of Tokyo, something strange happened.
A portal, looking like a blue whirlpool, opened in mid-air. Out came a humanoid silhouette, walking at a leisurely pace and carrying something.
Once the being had finished crossing over the dimensions, the interdimensional door disappeared, as if it never wwas there in the first place. Only a few displaced items and scorch marks in the street proved it had been there.
Ranma removed his sunglasses to get a better look at his surroundings. So far, his home dimension didn't look that impressive compared to the futuristic Earth where he had been... enhanced.
Agent Ranma Smith looked nothing like the cute easy-going teenager he had been before his accident. He was now a young and handsome adult, dressed in a stylish black business suit, complete with a tie and gloves of the same color. He also wore a digital watch on his right wrist, the key to summon his new partner. A suitcase containing his working equipment completed the tableau of the ideal yet a little sinister-looking corporate executive.
Ranma shrugged and put his sunglasses back on. First, he had to scout the perimeter and check his geographical and temporal location. Even with their high technology, his benefactors couldn't guarantee his return at the exact location and time of his departure.
