He thought Gina had called him a little while ago, but he wasn't sure what since his cell phone hung up on him about five seconds into every call. He couldn't figure out what was wrong with the blasted thing.

"Hee hee," a boy whispered conspiratorially to one of his fellows. "I've got another one."
"You know," another boy said. "Shouldn't this guy have realized by now he's not getting any bills?"
"He will when they start shutting things off," a third boy said as they all started giggling.

In any case, it meant he had to speak to Gina face to face. Unfortunately, that didn't seem to be happening.
