Shamanic Princesses: Quest for the Gold Crystal [Episode 7746]

by Jamil Nate

Setsuna shook her head and appraised her current situation. The timestream had been rewritten, changing everything in the lives of the former sailor senshis, including her, without anyone realizing it. Her real name was Cassandra Pluto, a princess of the Crystal Kingdom, on an undercover mission on Earth. Setsuna Meioh was an assumed identity to better blend in modern society.

The Crystal Kingdom was in another dimension where magic ruled. Under the benevolent rule of the Serenity family line and thanks to the power of the Silver Millenial Crystal, it had prospered for centuries. It had been founded long ago by refugees of something called the Moon Kingdom who fled the Earth dimension from a great Evil from beyond the stars.

The Crystal Kingdom had protectors called the Shamanic Princesses. They were nine in all, one for each planet of the ancient Moon Kingdom (That fact had long been forgotten by now), each having power over a specific Element.

Princess Moon, the healer, chosen of moonlight.

Princess Mercury, the scholar, mistress of cold and ice.

Princess Mars, the priestess, dancer of fire and flames.

Princess Jupiter, the guardian, wielder of thunder and lightning.

Princess Venus, the leader, maiden of light and hope.

Princess Uranus, the warrior, rider of the winds.

Princess Neptune, the seer, lady of the waters.

Princess Saturn, the destroyer, bringer of shadows.

And herself : Princess Pluto, the witch, soldier of Time.

All the Shamanic Princesses were stronger, tougher and quicker than normal humans. They could also fly, teleport and use spells as well as summon spirits of their chosen Element. They all had familiars, animal companions who served as advisors and helpers. Their main function was to create 'kekkais', small space/time warps, enabling the princesses to fight their enemies on Earth without revealing themselves. As a last resort, a Shamanic princess could merge with her elemental spirits, transforming into a magical hybrid creature resembling a tattooed elf. Her power was greatly enhanced in this form but became almost like a berserker, only stopping with the death of her enemies.

Setsuna pondered, unminding of the fact she was giving Ranma much fanservice with her spandex-like bodysuit, her VERY short skirt and her generous cleavage, all showing her enhanced figure. Why was she on Earth in the first place ? It all came back to her in a flash.

Since last year, the silver crystal's power had been slowly decreasing, threatening the very existence of the Crystal kingdom. No one had been able to find a solution until one of Neptune's visions.

The Evil their ancestors fled, a dark entity named Queen Metallia, had attacked Earth. King Endymion of the Earth Kingdom used the Gold Elysium Crystal to stop it at the cost of his life. The crystal, stressed by the final battle, broke down and its shards were scattered all over the blue planet. Terrans abandoned magic and turned to science, making Earth as we know it today.

Queen Serenity decided to send the Shamanic Princesses on Earth to find and bring back the Gold Crystal, hoping its power could save them. Only to find Metallia's minions seeking them in order to resurrect their dark mistress. For months, the two sides had fought over Tokyo. The princesses had mainly kept them from draining life energy from the humans to keep them from bringing more of their numbers. The quest for the shards continued as much as possible but no one had found any yet.

After all this catching-up (Why this strange amnesia ? Weird...) Setsuna remembered she was in a human boy's bedroom for unknown reasons.

Ranma saw the girl turn to look at him. He closed his eyes in anticipation of the pain *Here it comes !*
