Akane had just gotten dressed and was on the way to wake up Ukyo when her front door burst open. Standing in the now open doorway was her family and a very pissed off Nodoka Saotome. Aware of the fact she had a naked, sweaty, and smiling Ukyo in her bed Akane came to a very accurate assessment of the situation, "We're fucked."
Akane was sitting next to a fully dressed Ukyo looking subdued. On the other side of Akane, Nabiki sat with an emotionless look on her face, internally though she was laughing her ass off. At the end of the table next to Nabiki, sat Kasumi. The look of shame on her face nearly broke Akane's heart. Across from Kasumi Soun Tendo looked stoic and strong, the anger and betrayl when he looked at his youngest daughter spoke volumes. On the opposite side of the table sat the Saotomes. Genma was looking at his wife in concern and Soun in mute appeal. Nodoka by far looked the scariest, her cold eyes gazing at the two lovers in barely contained fury.
Nodoka spoke first, "Why did you betray my son?"
"Nodoka-sama the reason we did this was avoid the reaction we're getting," replied Akane.
Nodoka looked Akane right in the eye and coldly announced,"You lie. You abused my son, continuously insulted him, poisoned him, accused him of things he had not done, wrecked his reputation, and never once tried to tell him the truth. My son came close to attacking you three for what you had done. What reason can you give me for not call a bloodfeud with your family, with both of them."
At this point both the girls paled at that statement. Nabiki turned to Nodoka and said, "Auntie I know you are angry at them and with good reason. Truthfully the only member of this family who hasn't exploited him is Kasumi. A talk that Ranma and I had a while ago showed me that Ranma was hurting more than anyone realized. Seeing that he couldn't trust anyone especially me I decided to try and make it up to him. I told him they were using him and gave him the evidence he needed to prove it."
Akane looked at her sister and asked, "How could you?"
Nabiki glared at her and said, "How can I? How could you. How could you lie and use a man who saved your life? Who killed for you? If mother was alive too see what you had done she would kill herself in shame and disgust. What I did I did for the family. You did this for yourself and no other. You can't judge me or my actions Akane." With that she got up and went to her room. The Tendos and Genma were speechless, while Nodoka nodded. "We still have much to discuss," Nodoka said.
