Genma chuckled as he turned the page on a spell book he had recently acquired from the local curioso store, the same store Kuno had come across that strange phoenix egg, “Quite Tendo, Quite.”
“But Saotome! Didn’t the instructions say only some one with magical intelligence should attempt anything with this book?” Soun spared his friend a doubtful look when it came to the intelligence part.
“How hard could is possibly be?” Genma snapped back, “We follow the instructions, mix up the potion, stir it three times while saying the magic words and presto! Done!”
“That’s just it Saotome! Where did you get the ‘Heart of an Innocent’? Or the horned yak’s blood?” Soun took a step back when the bubbling brew hissed at him.
Genma ignored his friend for a few moments, taking off his glasses and throwing it in. The book had asked for an ‘Eye of the Virtuous’, so he assumed his glasses would suffice. After all, wasn’t he virtuous?
“The heart I got from a chicken, it was pretty innocent I’m told. The horned yak’s blood was more difficult, but I believe it was safe to substitute that with some Cool Aid.”
“Eer, Saotome… I don’t think we should follow through with this… who knows what could happen!” Soun was just a tad bit tired of all the twists and turns their lives had already taken, and if this failed who knew what new mess it could cause for the troubled children.
“Nonsense Tendo! Just think about the future! When we get our kids to drink this all our problems will be solved! They’ll be married, and the future of our schools will be assured!” Genma crowed, his arms swinging wildly to the heavens as he basked in his own genius!

‘Where the hell is he?” She wondered mentally, watching the throng of students as they made their way home. Her eyes lingered over certain group of people, some girls from the Volley Ball team who owed her cash for some reason she couldn’t particularly remember just yet, and then of course there was Kuno and his Kendo team, out in full regalia practicing off to the side of the crowd. When her eyes tracked her sister’s movements through the crowd, Nabiki pushed off the wall she had been leaning against, making a beeline for her sister Akane.
“Hey Akane?” Nabiki began the conversation.
“What do you want now Nabiki?” Akane asked in a huff, annoyance dripping from voice.
“You wound me sis!” Nabiki replied in a hurt turn, holding her hand to her forehead in an exaggerated attempt at looking hurt.
“Whatever.” Akane rolled her eyes, being use to such reactions from her sister.
“Heh. Was just curious if you had any idea where Ranma was?”
“I think he said something about visiting his geography teacher, he’s trying to get his grade up there.” Akane shrugged.
“Ah..” Nabiki sounded rather doubtful at the prospect of Ranma working to get his grades up. She had a sinking feeling that his conversation with the teacher would be from a more.. Physical standpoint.
“Something wrong?”
“No no, it’s nothing. My mind must have wandered.” She waved her hand to ward off Akane’s curious glare.
“See you at home, then.” Akane shrugged as she made her way out the front gate.

Hiroshi Gibral grumbled to himself as he closed his briefcase. He spared a moment to gaze about the room, making sure he hadn’t left anything behind in his haste to leave.
He had been just about to grab his briefcase and head out when the door to his room opened, Ranma stepping in quickly. He looked left and right, seemingly in search of something or another, before shutting the door.
“What is it, Saotome?” he asked, feeling impatience. It would figure the stupidest kid in his class would hold him up when all he wanted to do was leave. ‘Probably here to beg for help, pfeh..’ A career full of ungrateful kids, nutty principals, and no respect from his colleagues had turned this teacher into a bitter educator. Nothing would please him more than to watch the star athlete fail like the idiot he was.
Ranma smiled, it was anything but friendly, as he walked towards the aging educator. He brought his fists up, popping his knuckled as he said, “Teach, I think its time we had a talk. Man to man.”
Girbal grumbled, a slight apprehension building up in his stomach at the hostile atmosphere suddenly penetrating the room. “I’m quite busy, Saotome. Can this wait for later?”
Ranma chuckled, and in a voice much to jovial for some one about to fail their school year, he said, “Don’t think so!”
“Wha…” He began, before Ranma’s pushed him back against the black board forcibly. He was about to shout for help when Ranma’s fist flashed by, slamming through the black board with a loud crack. Girbal eep’ed, looking at the fist imbedded in the black board no more than half an inch from his face.
“Shut up!” Ranma whispered harshly, eyes gleaming dangerously, “I won’t miss next time, understand?”
“SSSaa!!” Gibral stammered out, hugging his briefcase to his chest in hopes it would provide some form of defense against the piss off martial artist
“I SAID SHUT UP!” he shouted, pulling his fist back, subsequently out of the wall, before striking at the teacher again. Stray pieces of black board and concrete falling on the educator’s shoulders, reminding him just how tough the student really was.
Gibral closed his eyes, waiting for the impact he was sure to come. When it didn’t, he risked opening his eyes and had to refrain from pissing his pants as a glowing blue fist hovered just before his nose. He could feel a sweltering heat emanating from that fist, causing a slight perspiration to form across his forehead.
He pulled his fist back slowly, his hard eyes catching and staying with the teachers, “Now, teach. I’m going to lay down some rules for you to follow. Nod yah head if you understand.”
Gribal nodded, unable to suppress his fearful shuddering at being at this mad boy’s mercy.
“Good. First, from now on you will NEVER call on me in class again. Understand?”
Another nod.
“Second, I will pass your class, whether on more own or from.. outside help. You get what I’m saying?”
A frantic nod
“Third.. If you tell ANYONE about this, I’ll kill you. Do you get me?” his voice tight and controlled, stressing each word as he moved closer to the freaked out faculty.
“Youu can’ttt possssiib…” Gibral stuttered out some more, before Ranma smashed his other fist against the black board, on the other side from the teacher’s head.
“Nod your head if you understand.”
Fear apparent in his eyes, Gibral nodded again.
“Good.” Ranma said, his deadly serious tone and stance dissipating into a friendly jovial one as he pulled his hand back from the damaged black board.
As Ranma walked away leaving the frightened teacher to his thoughts, he turned just as he was about to shut the door. “Damn teach, you look stressed. You should loosen up some more, y’know? Look like you seen a ghost or something.”
Gibral collapsed against the black board, silently thanking whatever god had saved him from Ranma’s wrath.

“I’m home!” Akane called out as she took her shoes off, shortly before slipping into some slippers.
“Welcome home, Akane.” Kasumi answered her sister’s call; a gentle smile alighted on her features as she walked up to greet her sister.
Akane smiled, always feeling better when her sister came up to greet her after a day at school. She had been about to respond when she noticed two sets of beady eyes watching her from around the corner. She leaned to the right a bit; so as to get a better look around Kasumi. When the two eyes suddenly widened and vanished back to the house. An almost undetectable whisper of, “Hurry Tendo! Before she finds us!”
Akane threw Kasumi an extremely curious look, before turning back to where the fathers had previously been, “What’s up with those two?”
Kasumi giggled nervously, her hands twisting on the hem of her robe as she tried to come up with an excuse for Genma’s and Soun’s actions. “Oh, they’re playing their silly games again. Hocus pocus I think they called it.” Then she grimaced, “Don’t mind the smell.. they were playing a farting game earlier.”
“Riiight….” Akane drawled out, wondering why her sister just had to tell her about their other activities. She took a tentative whiff out of curiosity, and nearly balked at the overwhelming smell. ‘Geesh.’
“I’ve gone ahead and set your dogi on your bed, Ranma shouldn’t be home for an hour or so, so you should have the Dojo all to yourself until then.”
“Thanks Kasumi.” Akane said with a smile as she moved deeper into the house.
“Never a problem for my little sister. Go, go on. Hurry up.” Kasumi shooed her sister before opening the door in an attempt to get the nasty smell out of the house.

“Think she suspects anything Tendo?” Genma sweated, watching the youngest Tendo climb the stairs to her room.
“She’s my little girl Saotome! Of course she suspects something!” Soun hissed, a faint hint of pride in his voice.
“Right… maybe we should add Ranma’s portion first?” Genma suggested, holding a small fist of black hair in his hand.
Soun wasn’t an overly mean person, and he sincerely cared for the young martial artist as any step father could. Still, he was more than willing to put the boy before the hounds of Genma’s latest attempt to combine the schools rather than his own daughters.
“Quite right Saotome.” Soun smiled, a relieved look coming over his features.
Genma nodded before adding Ranma’s hair to the mix. The hair slowly sunk into the pink liquid, the surface swallowing the articles like tar. The aging Saotome took a step back, in preparation for the mystic words he knew beyond all doubt would seal the fate of the anything goes school of martial arts!
“Is it suppose to be bubbling like that, Saotome?” Soun interjected before his friend could begin pontificating, stepping back slowly as the cauldron began to rock back and forth menacingly.
“Of course Tendo. It.. uh… tells us the potion is working! Yeah, that’s it.” Genma chuckled nervously as he too stepped back, sweating as he watched the cauldron begin to tip over.
The cauldron hit the ground with a clatter, the pink ooze inside seemed to stay there for a moment, until it eventually rolled out and took on a life of its own. Floating by means Genma and Soun couldn’t understand, the pink blob hovered in front of them for a few moments, its surface shimmering and contorting on itself, as it seemed to seek perfection.
“That’s… LOOK OUT!” Soun jumped out of the way while shouting, the Pink blob suddenly bursting forth and surprising the two astute martial artists. Genma flopped to the floor as the blob passed over head, a deafen crashing sound was heard as the blob rammed through the outer wall before taking off into the air.
Struggling to stand up, Soun watched dumbfounded as the blob disappeared over the horizon. He just knew this was going to complicate the already complicated situation with Ranma and Akane.
“Saotome…”
“Tendo…”
“Was that suppose to happen?” he asked nervously, hoping that just maybe they could avoid what was surely about to happen.
“Eh, no.” Genma chuckled nervously, eyes still focused on the horizon.
“What do you think it was?”
“No clue, Tendo, no clue.”
