Nabiki paused to access the people before her and how she should deal with them. She was all set to see what she could bilk them out of when she actually looked Gar in the eyes and her heart skipped a beat. ‘Wow, he’s handsome.’ Stepping up close to the human form were-jaguar Nabiki ran her fingers up his chest suggestively, a seductive smile on her lips, “Now normally I don’t give away such information for free but I’ll make an exception this time for you handsome.”
“Um… thanks.” Gar responded, a slight blush tinting his cheeks from Nabiki’s action even as Luan growled loudly.
“The reason why is normally anyone who comes here is looking for Ranma.”
“What’s so special about this Ranma person?” Julia inquired.
“Ranma is something of a local trouble magnet.” Nabiki responded while inwardly admitting that most of the trouble was really his fault, he just had a knack for making it even worse. She just did her best to make sure that it was profitable. “So of course when a bunch of people show up on our doorstep looking for a red-head it’s easy to assume they are looking for him.”
Luan stepped up to grab Gars left arm in hers while giving Nabiki a ‘he’s mine back off’ look. The middle Tendo smirked as she took Gar’s other arm to lead him into the house, an act that also forced Luan to let go as the doorway only had room for two to go by in such a fashion. “Why don’t you tell me about this person you’re looking for and I’ll see what I can do?”
“Why that…” Luan growled. She was about to teach Nabiki a lesson in stealing her man when Carla stepped in her way.
“Friend, t’would be best if to let it be for this girl me be of assistance in locating Sheila and if it is so Gar would be less than please should you interfere. Thou must remember why we are here. T’would be best other concerns were left aside.”
Tigra spoke, “I hate to say it but Carla’s right… besides. I’m sure once I turn on the charm that little vixen will be like putty in my hands.”
Theo shook his head, “Perhaps it might be better if we if we split up. Honey, if you could say here with Gar and Luan I’ll take the others with me and see what else I can learn from some of the locals.”
“You mean the ones that haven’t gone into hiding.”
Theo coughed into his hand. “Yes.”
“Ok dear, if I find anything I will call your cell.”
The arch-mage nodded and started to walk away.
Behind him he didn’t see how those he left behind had turned to find that they were now facing a closed door behind which Gar and Nabiki had vanished.
