Nabiki noticed that the blonde genie just had disappeared as the light show toned down. She turned to Ranma to tell him that this was just some kind of trick, but she was occupied with picking up her jaw from the ground after seeing the new Ranma.
He was dressed in some kind of modern armored suit, made of some flexible black fabric and green, organic looking armor plates. The whole suit looked like it had a weight of at least 150 kilograms. And Ranma didn’t seem to notice it. Ranma himself had changed too. He looked more rugged and mature, and had increased in height to around seven feet. His now piercing blue eyes looked at her.
All in all Ranma looked very much like that guy from this one game she’d seen a year or so ago, when she was shopping. She tried to remember the name of the guy. Was it Master Chief or something like that?
Unknown to Nabiki, the world around her had changed. Not in the matter that the Covenant were attacking earth colonies, but in the fact that Ranma had somehow disappeared during the Neko-Ken training. While his father, other than in other universes, had searched for him, Ranma appeared on a shuttle that went through slipstream. On this shuttle he had been recruited for the SPARTAN II project.
In the following years he had been trained and mainly focused on Martial Arts, not abandoning anything other in the training. Just before the fall of Reach, he had gotten one of the final MJOLNIR-suit, just like the Master Chief. Just a few hours after that he disappeared from the universe of Halo, he appeared back in his universe. Just as his father went to the Amazon village, trying to get some help to get Ranma back. The same force that had put him back into his universe had aged him backwards, making him just 16 years old. But he was a 16 year old SPARTAN with the experience from over 200 ground battles against Covenant forces.
“What is it, Tendo,” Ranma said in his usual bored tone.
Ever since he came here, he had been bored. Part of his being was glad to be bored, but another part wanted to get back and kick Covenant-ass. He crossed his arms as he looked at Nabiki, waiting for an answer. He still didn’t understood civilians most of the time. Even after one year back home, after he had been able to remember his father and went with him.
Before Nabiki could answer a low whining sound could be heared. Ranma’s head whipped to the window. He had hoped to never hear that sound again.
A blue streak went past the window and several blasts of plasma detonated near the Tendo Dojo.
Ranma just got the chance to kick Covenant-ass.
