Tao winced. "Yeah. I know. Anyway she's granting a wish to Ranma Saotome and - ? No I'm not, and your Father doesn't like you using that sort of vulgarity. Remember? Anyway Ranma just made a wish that he had powers and abilities beyond mortal men so he could get out of situations like he's in now and -"
Tao smiled. "You do? You will? Great. Thought you might be interested."
"Sure, Ranma. All you have to do is say the magic word!" Mihoshi said.
Ranma glanced behind him and saw the crowd had developed further. "What magic word?!"
"Just say 'THUNDER'," said Mihoshi.
Ranma stared at the ditz. "Huh? What's 'Thunder' sup-"
crackle BOOM!
Thor = Might
Heimdahlr = Perception
Urd = Lore
Njord = Stamina
Delling = Charisma
Eir = Healing
Raideen = Speed
"That's odd," said Mihoshi. "Six Norse deities and a Chinese one. I wonder why it came out like that."
Ranma realized he was flying. "WHAT?!"
"Just remember, you say the magic word to transform into Corporal Marvel," said Mihoshi.
"I'm a Corporal?!" Ranma asked.
"Well, if you want to be a Captain you'll have to take it up with the relevant authorities," said Mihoshi. "I'm only able to do a single rank promotion. Well, gotta go!" Pop!
Ranma continued to fly over the city, his blue half-cape fluttering in the breeze. "Somehow, I get the feeling this isn't going to solve a damn thing."
