The door was just a step away and out and he could hang out for a bit until the Earth chicks left. Then something in Ranma's arms caught his attention. Well, actually, what caught his attention was the fact that her tunic was undone allowed to hang open, and just couldn't resist an attempt to peek.
Which is how he saw the furry little baby held against Ranma's chest, obviously suckling.
Ranma's ears had grown pointed as well, but Tirga's attention was a little far south to notice that. And if he smelled tiger on her, he assumed it was from the rugrat.
"Ahh, man," Tirga moaned. Resignedly he turned away from the door and stepped forward. Which was when he saw the second baby in the older red-head's arms.
"...probably the result of mixing blood during ceasarian," the old hag was saying as he came forward. "That was touch and go, and I understand she nearly didn't survive. One was bad enough, but twins?"
Ranma shuffled uncomfortably. She didn't like to remember that day much. She hadn't even gotten to see her children at all. It was just one long day of surgery for her, and then recovery. She didn't get to see her children until two days had passed and her new species had allowed her to recover miraculously from the ordeal.
As for Tirga, he cringed as the old woman spoke. He'd had no idea that he'd left behind a mess anywhere near so bad.
"Hey everybody," he said, trying to act non-chalant. "Did you miss me?"
A host of disapproving, and some outright hateful, stares were sent his way as he made his presence known.
