Elfguest: elf parade [Episode 80539]

by Kestral

They came out of their cages, some holding arms in a way to indicate injury, some limping, some leaning on others.

They were all elves, they were all of the female persuasion, they were all naked or pretty close to it. They were all talking at the same time. In Elvish, naturally enough - so Ranma had no idea what they were saying.

First the girls were asking why this human woman wouldn't look in their direction. On being told this was a human boy with a curse, reaction was mixed.

Not that it wasn't believable. All of them had heard of people who had some fairly exotic curses. Such as the one that turned Kenanin Oathbreaker into a tree with the rise of each sun. Boy turning into a girl with cold water? Quite believable.

There were a number of responses from the rest of the erstwhile adventurers but it was until Ranma felt a tap on a shoulder that she turned around.

The two elves he'd started out with had been joined by four more who were going around and apparently reclaiming the rest of their stuff.

The one elf seemed to be really friendly, the other one was a bit stiff and didn't seem that likable.

Now there were four more elves. Man, he hoped they could find some safe place for these chicks soon.

They were:

Mist, a high elven cleric.
Thorn, a high elven treasure expert (thief).
Valoure, a gray elven warrior.
Tempeste, a gray elven mage.
Dagger, a high elven warrior/thief.
Drijari, a plains elf ranger.

Though these were the short forms of their names. Elves of this world had long names written in poem form. Except for the plains elves and some gray elves who went with names borrowed from other languages and sources.

Being old friends who had decided to go adventuring, they were of several minds of their latest experience. Drijari was ready to go back to her plains and try to perfect her skills. Dagger was hoping the human stuck around because there would be good pickings along his wake. Tempeste was intrigued by the human's curse and wanted to study it. Valoure was skeptical about the boy's prowess despite having witnessed it all. Mist didn't think that a human boy would help their situation. Thorn wanted to know if human lovers were anything like some of the rumors she'd heard.

It was quickly put to a vote and it was decided:
