The scene on the screen froze on the face of a blushing and nervous doctor Akagi. Applause rang out as light returned on the Match-ups 101 stage. Urd was still there, nodding in approval and making the crowd go wild!
"Thank you, thank you... As you can see, Shinji Ikari is now well on his way to become a real playboy! Thanks to our little 'power-up', he has no trouble catching women's attentions and the rest follows... naturally. Hehehehe..." She turned to look at the giant screen behind her.
"Ah, but you must wonder what we have done exactly to young Ikari to produce such an effect. It's really simple in fact, observe!" The goddess snapped her fingers and the screen now showed a badly drawn SD Shinji in plugsuit in his SD entry plug.
A scribbled SD black box designated as New Power Source X appeared next to the Entry Plug "The new EVA internal battery NERV was testing out went critical when it was activated. Apparently Unit 01 reacted badly to the particular brand and wavelength of radiation put out by Power Source X"
A chart shows the passive AT-Field of Unit 01 and the new battery's energy frequencies clash in a violent way. SD Unit-01 goes apeshit while SD Shinji remains in the SD entry plug, bathed by cosmic forces beyond human comprehension. He disappears for a microsecond in the LCL then reappears as SD Stud Shinji.
"What happened was that Shinji was absorbed in the EVA for a really short time. But when his body had to be reconstructed, the radiation he had unknowingly absorbed had already altered his genetic make-up. Or as Stan Lee would say, Shinji has mutated. LCL being the blood of the Mother of Life herself, it served as a biological accelerator for Shinji's change, otherwise the process would have taken decades and a few generations to show"
A naked and anatomically correct (whistles and catcalls were heard from the female audience) Shinji appeared on the screen "Essentially, this little accident changed him in what is known in a particular gundam universe as a Coordinator: a genetically enhanced superior human. He is stronger, faster and tougher, at olympic decathlete levels. He can use a few more percents of his brain's capabilities. His hand-eye coordination is now damn near perfect. His senses are also more acute" Urd stopped and paused, thinking about a particular detail "There is also the possibility he can go into SEED mode, a trance where he becomes a cold and furious fighting machine. Only time will tell..."
"Of course, the one particular enhancement doctor Akagi noticed and thoroughly enjoyed was that 'little Shinji' is not little at all when fully activated. Hehe..." More cheers and laughs from the audience then boos when the naughty little part of Shinji's picture is censored "Another side-effect is that Shinji is physically closer to 20 than his chronological age of 14. All the better to seduce older women as demonstrated by the good doctor earlier..."
Another pause then Urd added something else, almost as an afterthought "Of course, Shinji's transformation, while accidental, could be the hope for a new human race. Third Impact would not touch him and his children, should he breed true (don't worry, he will)"
"And now we return to Tokyo-3, where our contestant is going to be released from the hospital. What kind of romantic adventures await him? If you want to know, stay tuned! Same Addventure! same Thread!"
