Drow Damnation: Amulet of Recall [Episode 81324]

by Arian Lestat

“Daedra,” she began, “Are the spirits of the Ancestors. There are both lesser and greater Daedra of varying alignments, some are good, and some… are bad.”
Ranma puzzled for a moment, and then nodded.
“In my world; there are shrines constructed by ‘bad people’ as places to worship the Great Evil Daedra, Mehrunes Dagon.”
“So they’re a cult who worship ‘bad daedra?’ ” Ranma asked. “Indeed outlander,” Velothesa nodded. “I was exploring one of the many Daedra shrines that are found scattered across Morrowind. While there, I was attacked by a ‘Dremora’.”
“D-R-E-M-O-R-A” Ranma sounded out, letting the strange word roll off his tongue.
“Yes, a manifestation of a lesser Daedra in a humanoid body. They wield powerful weapons and powerful magicks.” Velothesa shivered slightly. “While one Dremora alone is not normally a problem for an adventurer of my stature… this particular enemy proved to be a potent spellcaster in the area of summoning otherworldly creatures. Within moments I found myself surrounded by a horde of daedroth, scamps and skeleton warriors. Knowing that my life was in dire jeopardy, I made use of a ‘recall’ amulet that I had found earlier on in the ruins.” “What’s a recall amulet?” Ranma raised an eyebrow.
“A recall amulet,” She explained “Is an amulet that is bound by simple magick to any given point in the world, and used to recall to that place whenever one is in need. Something went wrong though… during transit, there was a flash, and before I could do anything; I appeared in the sky a good hundred feet above this town.” Ranma sat quietly for a moment, and then nodded.
“Do you have a way to get back?” Ranma asked her.

Velothesa nodded.
“I can re-use the recall amulet. Since the mark I set is back in the Capitol City of Vivec, I should be transported directly there.”
“You didn’t have an amulet on when we carried you in.” Ranma stated, gesturing towards a pile of clothes beside the bed.
“Ah, confound it! It must have fallen off!” Velothesa cried; rummaging through her clothes.
Suddenly Nabiki appeared in the doorway.
“Well,” she said smugly “It might have, or it mightn’t have.”
Velothesa made a concerted effort and leapt to her feet. Swallowing her obvious pain, she grabbed Nabiki by the collar and thrust her back against a wall.
“Do not Trifle with me N’wah! I am Velothesa of the Commana Tong, and I can be the author of thy death.”
“Not again!” moaned Ranma as he reached out a hand and flipped Velothesa back onto the bed. She lay there for a moment gasping.
“Nabiki, if you know where this amulet is, then you have to tell us… it could be her only hope of getting home.”
Nabiki mulled this statement over for a minute. “Well alright.” She said slyly, with an all-too coy smile. “But if I tell you, you’ll have to do a favour for me.”

Ranma sighed.
“Just name your price.”
“Well;” began Nabiki
