Moon prince: Observation [Episode 8234]

by The Fanfic Stealer

Several days later, Ranma found himself settled down nicely in Juuban, once again putting the money he had gotten from the Yukaza to good use. He was now the proud habitant of a nice studio apartment, furnished tastefully in his favorite colors: black, gray, and anything else that was dark or semi-dark.

He'd also gotten himself a part-time job at some arcade and enrolled himself at the nearby Juuban High. He was going to need a steady income and adequate education, especially since his pre-awakened self had been such an idiot. He had his martial knowledge, yes, but everything else was practically null! Yes, he had a lot of catching up to do.

But he could worry about that later. He had bigger problems to worry about, at the moment.

Even before he had arrived, he had decided that the first thing he was going to do was observe the Senshi in action. He proceeded to do just that, and was currently watching as they took on a group of youma.

He was NOT happy with what he saw.

They had been incompetent before, but now they were pathetic beyond all possibility. Not one of them had even a quarter of their previous skill!

His sister, Princess Serenity, who had been graceful in all things she did, was now as clumsy as a drunk. If it weren't for the homing feature of their spells, he was pretty sure none of the spells would have even come remotely close to hitting their targets.

Sailor Mars was slightly better, seeming to have acquired some spiritual powers in this life. Still, he knew for a fact that the fire spells she was tossing out were nothing compared to what her previous incarnation could have called up.

Sailor Jupiter moved like a fighter, and had moderately powerful spells, but that was only compared to the others at the moment; compared to her old self, she was pathetically weak.

Sailor Mercury, who once could do some heavy damage with her ice and water attacks, was now almost next to useless. Apparently, the other Senshi didn't expect her to fight all that much, and regulated her to the role of intelligence operative.

Sailor Venus was throwing out mediocre attacks... and that's it. She was not showing any kind of special skill like Mars' spirituality, Jupiter's obvious brawling experience, or Mercury's intelligence. She remembered when Venus was feared for her ability to vaporize buildings easily- she had been one of the heavy hitters during the old times. Now she was on the edge of just getting in the way of the others.

Tuxedo Kamen, Sailor Uranus, Sailor Neptune, Sailor Pluto, and Sailor Saturn were missing from the battle. He knew looking after the Time Gates was a very time-consuming job, so he understood why Pluto wasn't there, and Pluto had told him when he had awakened that Saturn had been reduced to a child, so obviously she wasn't going to be participating. That left Uranus and Neptune skipping out on their duty: protecting the Princess. He made a mental note to look for them later.

As for Tuxedo Kamen, he had just shown up... to throw flowers and give a pep talk. Ranma twitched as he watched the idiot stand there and look pretty while the Sailors did all the work. This was the moron that wanted to marry his sister? No. Way. In. Hell! They guy had been a decent fighter he had respected before, but now... now he was a complete pussy.

All of them had fallen quite a ways from their past selves. They were pathetic beyond all possible belief. They needed to seriously shape up.

He smirked at the thought. Yes, they needed training, and he knew just the perfect trainer for them.

The Senshi finished of the last of the youma, and Ranma watched in mild disgust as they fawned over that moron who was barely a shadow of his former friend, Prince Endymion. Unable to take anymore, he turned away and started heading back to his apartment, his mind already swimming with ideas on just how he was going to get them back into shape... and then some.
