That in mind Ryoga turned east and started running it was a little after this point when the mysterious and subtle spatial shifting power that Ryoga had been subconsciously using since childhood changed his direction to north-west with no one, least of all the lost boy, noting the change of directions due the powers sublety.
The fact he ignored the change from road to dirt trail in the forrest however had nothing to do with his mutation.
