Sara stuck her metallic snout right into the idiotic man's face, puffed out a breath that whipped the man's gi as if it were a hurricane and grinned. "Boo," she stated in a melodious contralto, quite at odds with her immense size.
Genma was never known for bravery. In this time of total, mind-numbing panc, his idea of a response was that of a deer standing in the fast lane of a superhighway; that is, 'if I don't move, it won't hurt."
A bout of childish laughter caused the gold dragon to turn her head to chastise the children that the obviously Lawful Evil theif had attempted to turn to his ways, when she noted just who three of the 'children' actually were. Uranus, Neptune and...
"Saturn-chan!" the dragon squealed in joy, then shimmered as she activated a long-memorized spell. When the wave of magic ended, there stood a little girl of the same apparent age as the other children. She had sunshine-blonde hair, glolden-hazel eyes and tanned golden skin. She was dressed in a golden silk kimono and wore laquered getta that shone with the natural look of the wood underneath. She then ran toward the Genie of Protection, as the genie quickly moved to meet her half way.
"It'ssogoodtoseeyouSautrnchan!Howdidyougethere?Who'sthelittleboywithyou?" the golden dragon turned little girl squealed.
The djinni was equally enthusiastic. "It'sgoodtoseeyoutoo,Sara!Mymasterbroughtmehere! He'sthelittleboy!Hisname'sRanma!"
Uranus looked over at her partner. "Who knew Saturn was friends with a gold dragon?" Neptune just shrugged in confusion.
Ranma cleared his throat. "Um, Hotaru?" he said in a shaky voice. "Who- who's your friend?" The golden girl looked at the young martial artist closely, then gave him a sunny smile that seemed to lighten the cave. "Oooh, he's a good little man," she cooed, causing the aforementioned 'little man' to blush heavily while the djinni giggled.
The dragon-girl bowed politely. "My name is Sarasign'cra," she answered in a soft voice. "But you can call me Sara. I would like to go with you on your quest, if you would like." She gave the still-immoble Genma a hard glare. "This 'man' will not be good for you, so I would like to help with your training."
This snapped the rotund patriarch out of his fear-induced paralysis. "What can a weak girl like you do?" he growled in her face, apparently forgetting her previous form.
It should be noted that while in human form, most dragons have little access to their birth-form's natural weapons. Sara, however, had not just lain idle in the Dragon's cave. She had taken the time to befriend the spirits that had guarded the scroll, having their astral forms train her human-shape to take advantage of the skills they guarded; she knew that if the scrolls themselves were lost, the wisdom they contained would be irreplacable, lest she do something.
Plus, as she now was, The towering man certanly was a superior opponent.
"GEMBU DESPERATION STRIKE!" she shrieked, her voice carring a weird overtone that made it seem as if two people were speaking almost simultaneously. "AVALANCHE PUNCH!!!" Her tiny fist blurred forward, wreathed in a smoky brown light. As her hand made contact with the much larger man's gut, the light flared and intensified slightly, then seemed to be absorbed into Genma's body.
Ranma and the three Moon Genies watched in awe as that seemingly futile strike sent the much larger and stronger man flying out of the cave as if the dragon-girl had strapped an ACME rocket to him. "Oooh," they chorused, truly in awe of such a wonderful technique. Well, Ranma wanted the technique; the others could see that this style relied upon the Earth's own energy and didn't even touch any sort of magic. If they learned this, why, they could save their magic for when it was really dangerous!
"Sure, Sara-chan," the little boy replied, his eyes wide and sparkly. "But you GOTTA teach me that!"
