Meg looked at Devil's Tower and shook her head. Her father came up and gazed with her.
"Quite a view isn't it? A very important place in recent history."
Meg looked back at her father. "What do you mean by that?"
"Well honey, it's like this. During the last war, this place was the scene of one of the final battles. The Golden Titan killed a couple of the leaders of Cronos here."
"Golden Titan?" Meg asked.
Jack Bennet aka Bionic-1 replied, "It's not what he called himself, but that's what the papers of the time called him. Funny thing is that no one knows what he called himself anymore."
Meg asked, "Do you mind if I go take a closer look at the mountain?"
"Just be careful."
Meg nodded and headed for Devil's Tower.
'The Cronos War. The war that turned scientists to bionic research and away from bio-genetics. This is one of the battlegrounds. Why here? Why a mountain in the middle of the desert?'
////////////////////////////////////////////////////
Unknown to the people of the modern world, Devil's Tower held a secret. Inside the mountain was the main headquarters of Cronos, before their takeover attempt of the world.
As Meg Bennet approached the mountain, sensors in the base activated and a huge cocoon in the middle of a confrence room opened. A large figure stepped out of the pod and then the outer armor it was wearing blew off and went back into the cocoon before it faded into subspace. A smaller blue-green armored being looked around.
"How long has it been? Mizuki...."
The figure sighed. "There was nothing that could have been done. Mizuki and Tetshuro begged me to kill them before they killed me. I'm all alone now. Maybe now, I can rebuild my life. I wonder what woke me up."
Sho Fukamachi went over to a freezer and opened it. He smiled wickedly.
"Good. At least Agito's Guyver armor has been left alone. After his betrayal....."
