Nabiki watched as Ranma stuck his head through a hole that appeared in mid-air. While unusual, nothing to do with Ranma really surprised her anymore. It was probably some crazy new martial arts technique he had developed. It was only when the portal widened, giving her a glimpse of a rocky area and a hint of forest, and Ranma walked through followed by several other people that she really began to take an interest.
First there was Ranma, who was, well, just Ranma. Following him were two girls dressed in something out of the medieval times. They weren't bad looking, she could definitely sell information about them to the various girls who hung around Ranma. The one was going to be trouble, she could tell by the way she kept eyeing Ranma, but the other seemed harmless enough. Their jewelry didn't look like it was all costume pieces either. She'd have to check and maybe acquire a few pieces for herself. After them came an honest to god knight. Shining armor, sword, she was surprised he didn't have a horse with him. She didn't waste much time checking him over for valuables, the look in his eyes spoke of experience and a determined will. Best to get Ranma's attention before Wonderboy wandered off. "My, my, what have you dragged home this time Saotome?" she asked mockingly. Whatever was going on, she'd profit by it, or at least break even.
The last member of Ranma's little group turned around at her words. This one was dressed up like a dragon. Pretty good make-up job too. Didn't seem to have anything of value on him. Nabiki snorted as he puffed up his chest. Like that was going to impress her. Typical Male. She dismissed him for the moment, probably an undersexed overzealous fanboy. She ran her gaze over the rest of them again. Maybe Ranma visited some sort of medieval cosplay?
"These are some friends of mine, Nabiki. I invited em over for dinner," Ranma replied.
"It'll go on your tab, Saotome." Can't have the jock start thinking he can invite whomever he wants over. Most of his friends come with baggage of one sort or another. She might make a decent profit if they would stop wrecking the house along with little sis.
"Fine, fine. I'm just going to let Kasumi know and then show em around a bit."
"Whatever, Saotome. Just remember that your responsible for any damage." With that Nabiki dismissed the group. If they were here for dinner she'd be able to find out everything she wanted to know then. Of course, if Saotome was going to take them around she had to make a few phone calls first. No sense in letting an opportunity go to waste.
