In normal circumstances a glowing purple cheetah-man running through Tokyo would cause a commotion. However this particular Chaos bringer had something going for him (which probably accounted for the fact that the Gojira Task Force wasn't mobilizing). Ranma was running so fast that even when passing within three feet a pedestrian, all they noticed was a slight breeze. At this speed it is no surprise that Ranma was soon exiting Tokyo proper and entering the surrounding forests.
It was at that moment that Bast, after bragging to everyone in Asgard about her new play to-... er, Champion appeared in front of the unbalanced multilycanthrope. This was a mistake. Almost instantly after appearing, the Patron Goddess of Cats was bowled over by a super-sonic feline. THIS resulted in a tangle of limbs that had an observing Toltiir press the 'Record' button on Mimir's Well.
Twelve minutes later, one frazled deity and an extra-crispy Ranma were sitting in a rather convenient clearing. Having opted to clean up the kid's psyche while he was unconscious (from multiple lightning bolts), Bastet had learned of a certain training he had undergone at age ten. Subsequiently, a streak of lightning flashed from a clear sky to hit a certain shogi playing panda.
As Ranma was about to awaken, Bast prepared herself to explain just what she was doing there.
