While Yamasaki and Abrams talked about these Sailor Senshi, Ranma looked the girls over. None of them seemed to be a fighter of some kind, but he had seen them kill a few Grunts and he could tell that they had killed more than the ones he had seen them killing.
“Ranma,” said Kytoma,” I got good and bad news. If you are interested and finished goggling at these teens.”
Ranma ignored the part about goggling and continue to look around.
“And?”
Kytoma seemed to shake her head.
“Well, first the good news. One of the girls has some kind of computer. I’ll try to hack it. The other good news is that we get some reinforcements from the JSDF and the Americans. And the bad new is that there is another portal that caused the reaction. It’s in New York, over Ground Zero.”
Ranma frowned. Two portals. That meant that the Convenant seemed to know how to open them. Someone had to go through the portal to stop whatever opened them.

Mercury taped away on her little computer, trying to figure out that guy in armor. She didn’t understand why something like that even existed. It was too sophisticated to be build on Earth. Maybe he was some sort of Alien?
She blinked as a face appeared on the screen of her computer and smiled, before disappearing. Just a few second later a second face appeared on the screen.
“So, you are the new Mercury,” the face said and Mercury was sure that only she was able to hear that voice,” Aren’t you a bit young.”
Mercury stared at the screen and the face on it smiled.
“Sorry, I haven’t introduced me. I’m Nathan, the AI of the Mercury Computer.”

Kytoma smiled for herself as she had copied most of the data from the Mercury Computer and reactivated a really old AI, a bit more sophisticated than herself, Nathan. They had chatted some time and exchanged data, including a code that would make her able to forget things, so she would have more than ten years of existence.
And there were thing that were positive for the fight against the Covenant forces here on this Earth. She had some heavily secured files, but she was able to hack them in less than a millisecond. She would love to tell Ranma about it, but it would have time.

“Okay, guys,” Ranma said, ignoring the Senshi for the most part.
They had proved themselves to be fighters, killing Covenants. He was sure that they had killed some elite, as he had seen three of them, not just the one he, Abrams and Yamasaki had killed.
“I got good news and bad news. The JSDF and the Americans seem to react now and send reinforcements. Private, radio your superiors and tell them about this secured area. The bad news are that a second portal opened in New York, near Ground Zero.”
He heard Yamasaki and Abrams curse.
