Shinji found this suspicious. "For all we know, someone could be hiding in there, and this could be one of those times where my senses don't work. Also, someone could be hiding behind it. I won't know for sure whether we're alone or not for a while."
Asuka, knowing Shinji could hear her, mumbled, "I don't blame you for your suspicion- I think it's suspicious, too. Why not go look in the dumpster?"
'Good idea,' Shinji thought. He walked to the dumpster, opened the lid, and blinked as three stormtroopers climbed out. As soon as they got out, a fourth stood up and walked out from concealment on the other side of the dumpster from where they came in.
Cue scene blur.
Shinji ran back to stand beside Asuka. The 'troopers had decided on a wedge formation. Inexplicably, Laguna's fight music from Final Fantasy 8 started playing from out of nowhere.
On Shinji's side was:
Shinji Vegeta, HP217 Their opponents were, starting with the 'point': Faceless Lieutenant, HP56 (normally 16) Shinji mumbled, "I knew it... here goes!" before rushing forward, grabbing one of the Minions, and throwing him into the wall as hard as he could. Predictably, the wall didn't survive. Mysteriously, the Minion teleported back to where he was before being thrown. After his re-arrival, a little '25' appeared over his head. He started kneeling and holding his shoulder, as if severely injured (which he was, this being the 28 HP one). Asuka, taking the opportunity, cast a Bolt spell on the same Minion that Shinji had thrown. A small lightning bolt ended up hitting the man in the ass, surprisingly. A little '6' appeared over the literally and figuratively shocked Minion, and he fell on his face, unconscious. "Ooookay... That's just weird," Asuka commented. Now their enemies got to attack. The Lieutenant shot Shinji and a little '15' appeared over his head. The remaining Minion shot at Asuka, but completely 'Miss'ed. The Cannon Fodder proved himself a weakling by shooting Asuka and getting a '0'. Next round. Shinji solved the Minion problem by firing a full strength Ki Shot at him, yelling as he did so. A '50' appeared over the unfortunate victim's head from his position in a wall. He shortly fell out of the depression he had made. Asuka decided to cast Ice on the Cannon Fodder, dishing out a '5' and knocking him out. The Lieutenant shot at Shinji again, but missed. Shinji blasted the Lieutenant for a '50'. Asuka cast Fire on him for a '7'. The Lieutenant shot at Asuka for variety for a '42' before kneeling in much the same position as the thrown Minion had. Shinji simply ran up and punched him, knocking him out. Cue victory fanfare and dance, along with terrain repair. "See why I didn't want you to come along?" Shinji asked. "Yeah... That one shot took almost everything I had," Asuka replied. Shinji nodded, then said, "We're going back. If we get in another fight, stay out of it!" As they begin to go to Rei's apartment...
