The previous model had been controlled much like a r/c car. Jimmy Sparks, with a large boxy-looking remote controlled this giant machine that fought for justice around the world. And when Jimmy was crippled in this line of duty, Dr. Bob Brilliant, creator of Gigantor and Jimmy's uncle set forth to build a new version. One that afforded the "pilot" to be safer than controlling from a short distance away.
And that's where his other nephew came in. Who was climbing into the cockpit now. This would be perfect! Time to test New Gigantor against the Evils of the world! "Mwu-HAHAHAHAHA! The technicians around him calmly took the requisite three steps away from the brilliant (but now perhaps a little crazy)Dr. Brilliant. This had become more common as the unveiling came closer.
