Kiyone raised a brow. "I believe that I just said that."
"Heh. Sorry, but I'm kinda surprised."
"Why is that?" Misato asked.
"'Cause I usually have ta fight somebody before I get her back."
"You just did."
"Not like that."
Asuka strolled into the room and peered at her fiance. "ANY-way, we've got better things to do than stand around here debating how different this trip has been."
"Uhh... yeah," he agreed sheepishly and lifted the Tendo girl up into his arms. "We should get goin', shouldn't we?"
"That just might be a good idea."
"Thanks."
Shaking her head ruefully, she lead him to the door.
Of course, none of the rescuers knew what the nearly asleep girl being carried to safety was thinking...
'Akane' would have smiled to herself if she could have. These fools were bringing her with them, thinking that she was the girl they were looking for. What they didn't know was that it was only a disguise, and that she was a trap laid by her masters. While this group was 'saving' her, elsewhere, the real Akane Tendo was being held safe and sound.
One of her masters' minions had explained the whole thing to her, and made sure that she was all prepared for her mission. They'd take her back, and she'd be in a perfect place to continue what she had been tasked to do. And when she was done, she'd return to this place, and wait for the next task that they gave her.
Unfortunately... She really was Akane Tendo, and was now going through the results of a minion with too much time on his hands, and a little too much initiative.
But as she was currently unaware of that fact, she merely let the drugs in her system knock her out, and allowed her to be carried by the boy that she thought was the 'real' Akane's fiance, while:
