When the pudding had measured in the thousands of gallons (or kiloliters if you prefer), the Tendo house began to put forth geysers of the material in waves of brightly scented pastel yellow. At this point Akane had cleverly thought to shield herself by grabbing up a table and not so cleverly tried to hold back the tide. It worked out fairly well though as she was merely pushed along by the tide instead of being inundated by it.
Bess, the Yamani family dog, took one look at the tide of yellow beginning to overflow the Tendo perimeter wall and decided to retire to her doghouse. She went in, closed the door, and vowed that one day she would leave Nerima for a saner area.
As she felt her doghouse bob up and begin to move, Bess considered that this might just be the opportunity she was looking for.
The gooey fountains from the Tendo home continued amidst creaks and groans from the house as it mainly held together despite the flood.
Sayuri gasped as she gratefully drew air in, too tired to even thank her friend.
Yuka dropped to the floor, exhausted. "I thought we were goners."
"Where?" Sayuri looked around from her own nearly prone position. "This is Akane's dojo, right?"
"Think so."
"We're just being carried along by the tide," noted Sayuri. "Isn't that Mrs Yamani's doghouse?"
"Sayuri-chan? We're currently covered in lemon pudding. We're in a dojo being carried along by a slow motion flood of the same. Don't you think we should just try to rest and recover instead of making a travelogue?"
"GLORP!" said a large bubble of pudding not far from the dojo.
"RANMA! THIS MUST BE YOUR FAULT! PREPARE TO GLUB GLUB glurp glubble!"
"Foul pudding! How dare you attack the Kuno ancestral home?! I shall glub gluk."
"AH! MY RESTAURANT!"
Yuka stuck her head up. "Was that Ukyo?"
"Floating along on one of the tables from the Ucchans, I think," said Sayuri, scraping lemon goo off of herself as best she could. "OOPS. Kuno just tried to climb up onto the table and now both of them are in the goo. Oh man. That looks like Furinkan High School."
"We're heading for the canal," realized Yuka. "Find something to grab onto, it might get a bit bumpy."
"Lands sakes. I haven't seen a mess like this for nearly two hundred years," said an old voice. "How are you two girls doing?"
"We're okay, Miss Cologne ma'am," said Yuka who was fairly deferential to older people. Which Cologne was by a considerable margin. "How's your restaurant?"
"It's a good thing I have flood insurance," said the Amazon elder. "Do you know how it started by any chance?"
"It started at the Tendo house," began Yuka.
"Oh good. I'll know where to send the bill," said Cologne. "It looks like we're all converging as we move towards the canal. Makes sense, it's following the flood plan."
Setsuna stared at the television set.
"Disaster overtaking the Furinkan section of Nerima and threatening nearby Tomobiki," said the television newsgirl. "Is this a monster out to destroy Tokyo? A terrorist weapon run amok? We'll be back after these commercial messages with more wild speculation."
"Is this a Senshi menace?" Haruka asked. "Yoma don't usually attack like this."
