"I'm sure that he had a good reason for doing that," said the clerk.

Ranma rubbed the back of her head with one hand. "Well yeah, but that jerk never really thinks about what he's doin' ya know?"

"An impulsive buyer then?"

"Yup. He stumbles over things and then buys 'em. Brings home all sorts of strange stuff."

"Then he's in the habit of buying you gifts then?"

"Ummm... I guess..," said a blushing Ranma as she pushed the tip of one shoe into the flooring. She could just remember the blush her husband had when he gave her that first gift. They had been nothing but a handful of flowers, but she still had them, carefully perserved.

"So then, I take it that they were to be a surprise."

The Saiya-jin shrugged. "Probably. I just gotta wonder here he is..."

Somewhere in a forest outside of Osaka (or was that Kyoto), Ryouga Hibiki was staring at the old statuette he was holding. What the heck had he been going on about? He could remember ranting about Ranma for some reason, but he couldn't understand why he had been so focused on settling with his wife.

Putting the little wishing statue back where he found it, Ryouga turned back to the job at hand. Getting home. His wife would be waiting for him and he didn't want to be too long. Although not too fast either since his mother-in-law was hinting rather much about wanting grandkids. The latest thing had been to bring out a baby supplies catalogue. That had sent him stumbling away and so he'd been lost. Again.
