It was the Department of Mysteries, at the Ministry of Magic. Harry and his friends, Ron Weasley, Ginny Weasley, Neville Longbottom, and Luna Lovegood, were fighting against a group of Death Eaters, when the Order of the Phoenix appeared to help.
Sirius Black, escaped convict, and Harry's godfather, dueled with his evil cousin, Bellatrix LeStrange, dodging everything she could throw at him... everything, but a single spell.
Harry watched in horror, as Sirius turned to look at him, shock plain on his face, as he fell into a veiled archway, and vanished.
"Sirius!" Harry screamed, sitting up in bed.
He quickly glanced around, he was back in his room at his aunt and uncles home. His owl, Hedwig, hooting in concern.
Harry collapsed back onto his pillow, and cried.
Meanwhile, several miles away, at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, Headmaster Dumbledore was going over some papers, when he heard a tapping at his window.
He quickly went to see who was sending him a message this late at night.
I hope nothing's wrong with Harry. If those relatives of his have driven him out again, after his Third Year, I may have to move him to Hogwarts permanently. He thought to himself.
Dumbledore quickly invited the owl in, and accepted the letter it offered.
"One of the Order's agents in the Unspeakables." He murmured to himself.
Headmaster Dumbledore;
I have written to inform you that, earlier this evening, Sirius Black became the first person to ever return from the Veil, which rests in the Dept. of Mysteries. Also, Mr. Black (whom you will remember, was recently cleared of all charges, after Voldemort's return) has brought other... persons... with him.
It's my advice that you come here as soon as possible.
There was no signiture. Typical for someone in that department.
"Trust Sirius to be the first wizard to not only escape Azkaban, but also return from the Veil." Dumbledore chuckled. Then, his face grew pensive. "I wonder... how did he do it?"
