The dark figure lifted his shadowed eyes from the now barren field which lied before him. People thought him evil, but they just didn't understand, but they where inconiquencial anyway. They just didn't understand his quest for power. Which is what brought his to this section on Japan. He had heard a vague rumor, one that suggested some power lay in this direction.

That was when he began to sense the dark energy that had coalesced around young Ranma.

"Hmmm. This power, it's strong for one so young. Well, I always wanted a protege."
