"M.. med-bay?" Grave asked nervously.
"You can't walk around with these kind of injuries," Brianna said as if it were obvious, which it probably should have been.
"Oh! Thank you!" the smaller girl declared burying herself in Brianna's chest and...
"Gahh!!" Brianna gasped as shiver went up her spine and she pushed Grave away from her. If she'd had fur, ever hair would have been standing up. "What are you doing?"
"I... I'm thanking you," Grave said, growing frightened yet again.
Brianna twitched a little before bringing herself to answer.
"By licking, not even kissing, but licking my breasts?" Brianna asked dubiously.
"M.. most people like it," Grave's voice trailed off. "I..is there a problem."
"Two," Brianna said. "Most important, you need medical atten-! STOP THAT!!!"
Brianna shout as Grave started to move to thank her again caused the minilycan to cring, and the youngest Diggers flinched and grimaced. This was going to be difficult.
"And second," Brianna said. "I'm not into girls."
"Y... you're not... what?" Grave asked.
"Not sexually attracted to the female of the species," Brianna said clearly.
"There are people that care about gender?" Grave asked clearly.
At that moment the door to Brianna's room was slid open and a concerned Gar rushed in.
"Brianna, I heard you yelling, are you..." Gar stopped when he took in the other girl in the room.
Instantly he was in fighting stance and getting ready for what he thought was likely to be a dangerous battle. As Grave did nothing but cringe away, he was a little deflated.
"Gar!" Brianna chided, standing up and walking to the door to shut it closed. "Calm down. This isn't the Grave Digger from last time."
"Are you sure about that?" Gar asked, watching the blonde werecat cautiously.
Grave was backed into a corner away from the obvious fighter, and, to Gar's thoughts, certainly didn't seem the raving psychopath from before.
"Well," Brianna said. "For one thing she hasn't tried to kill me yet. You know the Grave we're thinking of. She's as impatient as me, if that was her I'd already be fighting."
"K... kill you?" Grave repeated, not understanding what's happening.
"Well," Gar said to the little girl. "You look remarkably like Brianna's evil side."
"She didn't need to know that, Gar," Brianna said, slapping her face.
"Gar... Gar Silverear?" Grave asked nervously.
"That's me," Gar said cautiously. He remembered the tricks Grave used last time.
Surprisingly, the admission caused the girl to tense up more. She was opening her mouth to say something, hesitating several times, but Brianna cut her off.
"Look, Gar," Brianna said. She'd had time to think things through now, and she thought she had an answer at least. "I think I know what's going on, but first we have to get her to med-bay. She doesn't look bad, but better to be safe than sorry. And no 'thank-you's' of a sexual nature," the last was directed to Grave. "Please."
"O...okay," Grave said.
"And how are your sisters going to feel about this?" Gar asked. "When they say Grave Digger is back...again."
"Well," Brianna said sheepishly. "They sort of don't know about the Seer's Hamlet thing. And they've never seen me in the small form. So...hmm, the name's a problem. Okay, new name...okay, until we get everything sorted out and I talk to my sisters, you're Acacia, okay?"
"Acacia?" Grave repeated.
She recognized the name, it was Greek and long ago it meant thorny and naive. Now it was mostly regarded as the name of a tree, however. Why that particular name?
"Yeah, that'll do for now," Brianna repeated. "So let's get you to the medical lab then, Gar can you scout ahead and tell me if one of my sisters or Genn or somebody is in the hall ahead of us. I need some time to think before talking to them about this."
"All right," Gar said, still not certain about the whole situation.
Brianna picked up the girl and held her in a fireman's carry as Gar opened the door. This came along with another direction not to assume that Brianna would like to be fondled by another girl.
"Looks clear," he said and they started out.
