Dark times were coming to the Earth. A new Age of Heroes was on the horizon. Ages of Heroes were not a good thing, they tended to mean that there was something coming that one needed heroes for.
So, she had decided to do something about it along with some fae friends of her acquaintance. After all, she certainly didn't want her relaxation bothered by another dark power creeping over all.
The result of the fae food and ambrosia in the mortals was what she had expected. The girls now had essences of the divine and the fae while still stongly tied to the mortal realm. Whatever dark power that came, whether unseelie, demonic or mortal, these girls now had the resources they needed to combat it.
Their natures had somewhat been modified by their personalities, and somewhat by Circe's magic. And, while not all of them fit to the roles assigned, Circe was amused to make use of a certain group of superheros she had heard of.

Yes, Circe thought, her Olympic Guardians should serve her chosen home well. And, combined with any other champions the other powers might put out, she should be able to sit through the coming age of conflict and battle without being bothered.
Of course, there might be something of a headache when and if any of them found she was behind this. But that was a long ways a way.
