Theo held out until the portal closed as he resigned himself to his death. He was stunned when he saw Ranma intercept the blast meant for him. As his sight started to return (Ranma blocked most of the flash) he heard his wife call to him. He pulled himself together and replied "I’m all right Julia. Ranma took the blast for me."
Gina opened her eyes (she closed them when she saw the monster attack) and saw her mother on top of a girl wearing the torn remains of Ranma’s clothes. She just stared silently in awe. Theo, however, had his sight return enough to jump to his wife’s side and facefault on seeing a redheaded girl that looked like Ranma.
Theo whispered "Ranma?" before asking his wife "Are you able to see yet?"
"Everything is still blurry but I can see well enough," Julia said softly.
Theo quickly started to cast a healing spell on this new female Ranma that his father’s blast created while asking Julia, "Would you take the girls to the kitchen while I try to heal Ranma as best I could?"
Julia let out a soft chuckle as she said, "Not that you can heal Ranma of her new gender." Theo groaned as Julia left the room with Gina in tow.
Thirty minutes later, an exhausted Theo walked into the kitchen.
