After all, there was going to be little enough of that between the two of them soon.
Everything was turning out like she had been told. Which meant it was going correctly.
That alien DNA had been sent as a means of destroying this world before it grew into a power again. It was a definite threat to the world, one that was already present in its full, undiluted state. But Setsuna didn't dare remove the DNA from the gene pool.
For one thing, it was very necessary for this diluted version to get into the pool. Otherwise, the undiluted form would overwhelm them all. For another, when Crystal Tokyo came up, humanity would be greatly reduced in number. And they wouldn't have time to recover before the other powers of the world decided to eliminate the Terrans. Not without a reproductivity boost at least.
There was another, more personal, reason why Setsuna wouldn't allow the DNA to be removed from the bloodline however.
She yawned and stretched out, the irises and sclera of her eyes vanishing in a shiny, complete blackness for a moment. And then she demurely covered her mouth as the yawn ran to a brief close and sat down.
Some had always accused her of being a little too calculating to be completely human. Of course, her personality had nothing to do with that. But she wasn't completely human in any case.
"Congratulations, Mom," Setsuna said, smiling quietly. It was just a matter of time before her five 'aunts' joined her mother. She thought it over for a moment.
Then she frowned.
"Of course, now this means Sil is coming," she muttered. Sil was going to be very hard to deal with.
