"Gah?" Theo asked with his mouth full.
Pantha growled in annoyance, rubbing her forehead. "You got into a fight with some one last night, caused a good deal of damage to the town, upsetting pretty much the entire law enforcement contingent in this town, and you want to stay for a few more days to find this guy who attacked you?" She gave him a disbelieving look.
Ranma nodded, "You forgot to mention the 'Get out of our town or die' threats!"
"Yeah, I did, didn't I?" She bit out coldly. She reached over and smacked him on the back of the head, "Were you born stupid, or did you have to work at it?" she snapped.
"Don't need to make fun of me.." Ranma grumbled with a pout, rubbing the back of his head, "I'm just sayin. This guy knew my name, and I sure as heck don't know him."
Theo coughed, finally swallowing his food, "The Conclave knows, Ranma. Gneiss wasn't very discreet about the fact we blew up his place." he pointed out with a sigh.
Ranma hmmed, nodded, then shook his head, "Nah, I mean, they may know me, but it don't make no sense for them to want to kill me. Aside from you two and Gneiss, I really haven't met that many people."
"Maybe those parents are finally getting revenge for..." Theo started, but hammed up when Ranma through him a glare.
"Or that tribe of nomads you pissed off by killing their ceremonial stag." Pantha pointed out.
"Hey! I was hungry! I offered to share, didn't I?" Ranma grumbled.
"You killed the stag in the middle of their ceremony, in fact you killed it two seconds before the priest was ready to stick the ritual dagger into it's heart." Theo deadpanned.
"Whatever." Ranma grumbled, "I don't remember ever tellin em my name though."
Theo and Pantha shared a look, then nodded slightly. They hadn't been any names given at that screw up, it was pretty much "DIE INFIDELS" ect. ect. ect.
Theo nodded with a sigh, "Maybe we should stick around for a few days." Pantha threw him a glare, which he returned with a weak smile while saying, "What can it hurt? It's not like were in any hurry just yet, and it would be nice to spend more then a single night in a real bed."
Pantha thought about that for a moment, then nodded. Roughing it wasn't her idea of comfort, she could deal with it when she had too, but that didn't mean she wanted to deal with it all the time. "Fine."
Ranma nodded, "Thanks guys."
Pantha waved it off, "Don't mention it."
Theo grunted, returning to his breakfast.
Ranma pushed back in his chair, crossing his arms behind his head as he thought about the Ninja warrior Jato. Who was he, really? What beef did he have with him anyway? If he was just a hired goon, which was something he highly suspected, who hired him? Why would anyone (Gneiss excluded) want him waxed? So many questions.
He blinked. There was a mirror in the roof.. what the heck was that doing there? looking closely, it was positioned over his table. He thought about it for a moment, before shrugging. Probably some dupes attempt to cheat at cards or something. Hmmm. Wish he thought of it. He had just been about to look away, when he saw Pantha reach out with her hand and grab hold of Theo's.
Ranma blanched, standing up suddenly as he pointed a finger accusingly at the pair, "THEO! Tell me it isn't so!?!"
Theo blinked, "What? Whats going on?"
Pantha threw Ranma a glare. What was his problem?
Ranma gulped, "Please Theo.. tell me you haven't.. haven't.. " He turned red, "TELL ME YOU DIDN'T SLEEP WITH HER?!?!" he roared!
Pantha and Theo blinked, a blush igniting on both their faces as they felt the eyes of everyone here for breakfast gaze at them curiously. Theo snarled, "WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?!?!"
Ranma looked a little green, "No.. please god... I'm too late.."
Pantha growled, "What the hell gave you that idea?"
"Holding.. hands.. dear god.. no.. Theo's been sucked in by the gates of hell.." Ranma continued to mumble.
The whole room erupted in laughter at that. He sees them holding hands and thinks they did 'it'?
"RANMA YOU JERK!" Pantha screamed
"YOU ASSHOLE!" Theo yelled in annoyance.
