Golden Destinies: Vr. 3: Ranma's day with Xane; Conference! [Episode 90309]

by Matdeception

10:35 AM

"Morning Xane." Ranma waved as his partner stepped into his office. It had been hell at first, but he had managed to convince M to build his doorway with Xane's bulk in mind. It wasn't the only doorway to be altered to fit her since he arrived, but there were still far to few of them for Xane's taste.

"Morning Ranma!" she chirruped, smiling brightly as she slipped into her chair and gave the older man a little glance, "Anything new today?" She was really glad her partner had designed most of his office with her in mind. A large chair she could sit in comfortably, with out having to destroy the armrests that oh so often pinched her hips.

Ranma grunted, flipping thru a folder, "Yeah. Malo in Atlanta's been causing trouble again."

"Oh?" Xane perked up. Was this a chance to kick ass and take names?

"Yeah. Nothing to bad though, he scared some kids on Halloween by taking off his human disguise." Ranma chuckled, "Kids didn't think it was real, but our Agents had to report the event."

Xane pouted, "Another boring day then, huh?" she didn't like that, not one bit. Boring days tended to be... well.. tended to be boring!

Ranma grumbled, putting the report down, "Seems like it." he allowed. He looked at his watch, and then looked at the stack of papers he had to go through and sign, then at Xane, then back to his stack of papers, then at Xane. He nodded, and stood up, "Wanna take an early lunch?"

Xane blinked, before grinning. "Ooooh! Is this one of those 'date' things?"

Ranma blushed, before shaking his head quickly in the negative, "It's just lunch, honestly!"

Xane sighed idly twirling her straw and smashing the ice in her glass against its side. "So.. I hear you're going on vacation this summer."

Ranma nodded, finishing the last of his hamburger before pushing his tray away, "Yep."

"If your not busy, or anything, would you like to come with me back home?" Xane steeled herself, forcing herself to smile as brightly as she could, "My parents are having a get together..."

Ranma smiled, giving his larger beautiful partner an apologetic glance, "Eh, sorry Xane. I kinda have plans. Brittany's ready to begin trainin, and that’s what I got planned."

"Oh.." she tried not to sound too disappointed at that, which didn't mean much. Three damn years! For three years she's been trying to get to know her partner better, on a more intimate level, and for three years he's quietly if not quickly rebuffed every attempt. "Well, there’s always some other time." she allowed.

And she was so sure that last time she appeared naked in his bathtub would do the trick!

12:37 PM

Ranma sighed as his cell phone began vibrating. Coming to a stop at the light, he rolled up his tinted window and whipped out his phone. "Yeah?" Couldn't let the ignorant masses see such advanced technology, such as the Cell Phones M had handed out a few years ago.

Xane spared him a hungry glance. Could this be an emergency call?! Could aliens be invading again? Would there finally be something she could do to take her mind off her inability to land the man next to her?!? Oh she hoped!

"Sure, put her through."

Xane blinked, "Her?" she snarled mentally. Is that why everything she tried failed? Because he already had some one who had earned his affections?

"Yes." Ranma nodded, slowly accelerating as the light turned green. "I see, how are the kids?"

Clicking on his blinker, he slowly turned into the parking lot for Agency Zero.

"I see. 3:30? Right, I'll be there." Ranma nodded, before blinking and sighing, "Mr. Diggers isn't in the country at the moment, I believe we had a talk concerning this."

"Fine, I'll be there." Ranma grunted, flipping his cell phone closed and pocketing it. “Great." he deadpanned.

"What?" Xane eyed the older man strangely.

"Kids. Gina and Brittany got into a fight at school." he groaned. While he had been expecting something like this from Brittany, a few years down the road, it surprised the heck out of him Gina was also involved in a fight. Theo was going to blow a gasket, and Julia whenever she found out would probably beat him. Life sucked.

"Come on, lets get back to work." Xane said suddenly, stepping out of the Hummer and feeling like a total idiot. At least Ranma didn't know how jealous she was getting back there; thankfully it had only been the kids and not some hussy.

M blinked, "What's that?"

Xane grumbled, crossing her arms under her oversized chest, "Ranma had to leave early again, the girls got into some type of trouble." she sighed.

M nodded, "Well, he takes his duties to those girls very seriously." he smiled, "He'll make a good father some day, when he has a child of his own."

Xane snorted, "If he has a child of his own."

M blinked, "Uh? Something wrong?"

"Nothing." Xane pouted.

3:15 PM

Ranma grumbled as he walked through the halls of Decatur Elementary. He had never actually gone inside the school before, since Theo took care of registration and the like all the time. Where was he anyway?

Mr. Lawson was a patient man. Spending most of his teaching career at first teaching the idiotic and often nerve racking students of the local high school, he moved to the Elementary level of kids were the headaches were generally more frequent, but the problems were indeed much easier to handle.

That didn't mean he wasn't reminded from time to time about the horrors of being a high school educator while working with these young kids, such as now. While fights weren't something that happened with any measure of frequency, they still happened.

Brittany Elin Saotome, daughter of one Ranma Saotome was an excitable happy go lucky kid on most occasions, but she tended to have very little patience when things weren't going her way. At first he thought she was spoiled, but after observing her for a time he realized it wasn't that entirely, she was just a person geared to actions, to getting something done rather then waiting for some one else to do it.

Lawson frowned, rubbing his forehead. The girl now sported a black eye the size of golf ball. He so hoped the rumors he had heard about the girls father weren't true, that he was a violent maniac when it came to his daughters safety. He believed the rumors were more or less a grand exaggeration of the truth, but just how much of an exaggeration he had no clue.

Stephen Richard Tracy, son of Richard Tracy and an extremely annoying kid on most occasions. Lawson knew the kid had problems, at the age of six the child had been involved in an accident that took the majority of his right kneecap, and despite reconstruction he started to be very hostile to most children his age and younger. Lawson sighed; the kid sported a bloody nose and a few bruises, but aside from that, nothing.

The kid was growing to be your typical problem child, and Lawson realized this would probably be the first of many headaches attributed to the child. Glancing at the child's mother, he was relieved to see a kindred spirit. Jan Tracy was a fellow teacher, though the nervous twitches in her eye made him realize she taught at the high school. "Figures." he sighed to himself.

Not that this wasn't his only problem. Looking over at Gina Babbette Diggers, Lawson wondered where the heck a girl as smart as her learned to be such a potty mouth. He entertained rude thoughts of Theodore Diggers being the person she learned such words from, but that was quickly discarded. He had met and talked with the man before, he didn't seem the type one bit. This Ranma Saotome fellow though.. he had never met him, and if the rumors of him being an ass kicker with a penchant for taking things to the extreme, he could very well be the cause of Gina's horrendous vocabulary to date.

Last but not least was Penny Pinser. Daughter of Penniamen Pinser, a professional wrestler, she is an extremely smart girl like Gina was. She and the Digger child had gotten into an argument of some sort that resulted in both girls throwing out rather uncouth language. He still wasn't sure of the specifics of their reasoning, but it really didn't matter. This school was were a child was molded into the rat bastards they became in high school, and not for the first time Lawson was very glad he got out of that little hell hole.

Pinser's mom, Penniamen, sat with a nervous tick in her eye as everyone awaited the parental authority for both little girls. She was an attractive Nubian woman about six feet in height with a muscle tone that just sent shivers through Lawson's round little body. If he wasn't concerned with the social implications of a white man hitting on a black woman, he might just try something. Well, maybe in a few years when the last of the racist bastards either died or went to a nursing home.. it had possibilities. He had never seen her husband after all, and rumors at current were he either died or was running from his 'abusive' wife, not that he put any stock into those rumors, of course.

Lawson coughed, idly straightening his tie, "We'll begin the moment Mr. Saotome arrives, please be patient." he had to suppress a smile when Brittany and Gina both winced at the name of their currently tardy parental figure. He hadn't told them earlier in the day, and he suspected the girls would much rather want a stern, if not forgiving Theodore Diggers present instead of the rumored 'Ass Kicker'. Well, this should put the fear of Education into them!

"Ah.." Ranma stuttered. Damn, the secretary was really really cute, "Yes, I'm ah... here for the parent teacher conference concerning Brittany Saotome and Gina Diggers."

The secretary, a Ms. Marilynn Moorefeild, smiled at the rather bashful young man. He was a cutie; she couldn't deny that, even if he was a little young for her tastes. Whoa! Bad Marilynn! Your at work of all places, and he is here for a conference concerning.. wait? Two children? "Which child is yours, Mr? Ah, I'm sorry, I don't even know your name."

"Saotome, Ranma Saotome." Ranma coughed, "There both my children in regards to this parent conference, if not by blood."

Marilynn hmmed, idly chewing on the end of her pencil. She wondered if the nice young man would notice the short skirt she was wearing. (Came a whole inch above her knees!) "Ah, well, follow me. Mr. Lawson's office is this way." she said, motioning the young man to follow.

Ranma was born in a time and place were short skirts such as Marilynn’s were considered every daywear, and hardly erotic. Granted, most of his live involved growing up in one forest or another, but his time spent in Nerima seriously disabused him to such things. If you had an amorous Amazon who just demanded she rub most of her anatomy against you daily, various females at school who liked to 'grope' him by 'accident', then you would be desensitized to the seventies style of 'Sex Appeal through cloths'. Though, he had to admit, she had rather nice knees...
