Still, with his pride fueling his chi, it was a bit of a recharge to see all the little smiles on sleeping girls' faces. He'd won. At least that was how he looked at it. He'd managed to not only outlast them, and in Shampoo's case that was a definite trick, but he'd managed to satisfy them.
He'd felt an unfamiliar emotion welling up inside him as he started tucking away the girls in Kasumi's bed. Unfamiliar impulses to kiss cheeks and brush hair away from faces. However there was no one confronting him about such things, so he didn't feel any need to get defensive about it. Besides, they were all about to die anyway, weren't they?
It had become a marathon martial arts battle, at least to his reckoning, and a challenge. How could he not throw everything he could into it, learn from each one how best to do the deed and apply those lessons to the next - modifying for each one's weaknesses and style?
So the exhausted Ranma went down to the kitchen, got a few of those energy drinks he'd picked up for just such an emergency (marathon martial arts battles) and planned to return to his own bed and sleep through the End Of The World.
At which point he heard a inquisitive "Ranma-sama?" as someone entered the house, and Ranma rolled his eyes and tried not to groan. At least he'd gotten a chance to rehydrate, he guessed.
Well, at least he had an idea of what they wanted and how he could do it. Focus on the battle and accomplishing the victory. That's the ticket.
