While Ranma pouted, then turned thoughtful, the pert blonde burst back into the conversation. “Hey, Makoto, what is your thing anyway? I'm Minako Aino, by the way, or Lightshow, because my thing is solid light projection. So, are you a super mario artist like Ranma?”
“No,” Makoto answered. “Well, I know some martial arts, but that's not exactly my 'thing'. I'm a Titan – half-Titan, actually, on my father's side.”
“Titan?” the girl with the glasses exclaimed. “You mean there really is an evolutionary offshoot of humanity living on Jupiter's largest moon? According to my research they have a high molecular density, right, making them superhumanly strong and nigh invulnerable, among other things?”
“Well, not quite invulnerable,” Makoto agreed with a catch in her throat. “I've never been off Earth myself –this is my first time outside Japan– but Dad used to tell me stories before...

It's a learned ability, rather than innate like for mutants, but we do tend to specialise in much the same manner. I'm not nearly as tough as Dad was, but I've learned his way of generating bioelectric blasts.”
“Cool,” Ranma breathed, wondering if could learn her technique. “So, how'd ya know about these, ...titans, miss...?”
“Mizuno, Ami Mizuno,” the girl answered. “When I discovered my mutant tallent, I discided to do some research on the internet. There's a lot of information on the web, only there's a lot of missinformation too, and some of the claims are so incredible I can't figure out which is which. Like, one site claims there's an inhuman race living on a region on the moon with an atmosphere...”
Further discussion on the various suprahuman races reputed to live in unlikely places was cut short when Makoto noticed that the blackbird had swooped in low over a lake and was plunging towards a sheer clift face. She clenched the armrests of her chair and paniced, “Arrrghhh! We're all going to die!”
