Nodoka went to a nearby cafe to consider what her daughter had told her. Looking back she at past events she marvelled that her child had never snapped and seriously harmed or killed anyone with all that been dumped on poor Ranma. She also began to think about how close Ranma must have come to suicide. Shaking her head she decided that Ranma had discharged her obligations as well as she could.
Ranma had kept her honor in an impossible situation with killing herself. Nodoka shook her head discarding that thought, Ranma had killed himself, his oldself, only to be reborn as a woman. Nodoka thought about her husband and his likely reaction to Ranma's decision. She knew he would never accept his choice and would try to disown her for it.
Nodoka pondered on what to do. After a while she made her decision. Knowing what she had to do returned to her home, she looked in on her daughter and her boyfriend as she was at it noticing their state of undress. Lifting her eyebrow at the sleeping pair, she briefly thought at how fast Ranma was moving but then put off such thoughts for the moment she went to the phone.
Dialing up the number she wanted she talked to a divorce attorney and began to put her family's fate back on track.
