"Wrap it up quick, people. We've got blips inbound. Looks like our pigeon got off a distress signal. Marking eight SAMAS, two Predators."
"Is that bad?" Ranma asked.
"Of and by themselves, not necessarily. Since they may only be the leading edge of reinforcements as they're all fast movers. Possibly worse. Saotome, you don't have a lot of experience with vehicle operation, retreat to five hundred."
"Nix on that," answered Ranma, gunning forward as the transport slowed. "Hey, scaly! Can ya open a hatch?"
"Saotome, if you call me that again, I will be forced to smack you around later."
"Whatever," said Ranma as he watched the dragon dig his claws into the frame around the hatch and begin bending the metal.
At which point the hatch opened and someone stuck her head out. On seeing the dragon she screamed and tried to close the hatch. Sir George merely grabbed it and held it open.
Ranma scooted up, matched speeds, and leapt through the hatch.
"AHHHHH!" WHANG!
Ranma looked Akane right in the eye. "You are so uncute." At which point he fell over with a bump already forming.
Akane dropped the metal crate she'd whacked Ranma with. "Oh oh."
"Saotome! Would you hurry up and rescue your friends?" growled a voice on the other side of the hatch.
