"It's beautiful isn't it?"
Miroku smiled and turned to her, "Yes it is, and peaceful none the less. Hopefully when we've gathered all the Shikon shards and defeat Naraku that we too can live the same way." Says Miroku in a hopeful way as he glances at his right hand with the cursed wind tunnel.
'And when he is defeated the dreaded curse that has been bestowed upon my family will finally be lifted and gone forever.' He thought.
Sango noticed this and frowned sadly, Naraku has caused so much pain and suffering to everybody, including her. When Naraku is defeated her little brother's soul can rest in peace. Just thinking about it made her tremble, the memory of her brother being under Naraku's control stabed her in the chest with pain and tears. She continued shaking till she felt Miroku wrap his arms around her to comfort her.
"It's alright Sango. I'm here." He soothed
At first her first thought was to smack him for even touching her but her heart felt warm and she felt safe being in his arms. She wondered if this is how Ranma-chan felt when Ryoga held her like this or Kagome when she held by either Inuyasha or Kouga. If it was she didn't want it to go away. She lifted her head to look into the monks eyes and found that she couldn't pull away from his gaze and nor could he. Suddenly they shortend the distance between them and slowly their lips met in a warm soft kiss. When the kiss ended they gazed into the others eyes, Sango smiled and had a light blush on her cheeks where as Miroku chuckled softly and smiled.
Little did they know that the two mothers, Ryoga and Shippo had witnessed the whole thing. The mothers said nothing and just smiled happily while they went in, Ryoga and Shippo had slight fanged smirks and followed leaving the love birds in private.
"About time they kissed I was begining to think that they'd never express their feelings to each other none the less kiss." Says Shippo while on Ryoga's shoulder.
Ryoga chuckled at the little fox-demon boy, "You know telling someone you love that you love them isn't always that easy, sometimes it takes a very long time to tell them how you feel because you don't know if they feel the same way about you, or you don't know how to tell them, or you don't know what they'll say."
Shippo gave a cofused look, "It didn't take Kouga long to tell Kagome how he felt about her, he told her the first day they met."
Ryoga didn't look surprised for he knew how his cousin was, "That's cause Kouga's not afraid to express how he feels about something or someone, but I tell you about that when you're older okay."
"How much older?" Shippo asked.
"Ten to twenty years older." Ryoga said simply.
"Ten to twenty years! Oh man." Complains Shippo with a frown, then he smiles, "Okay but when I'm older will you tell me then?"
Ryoga nodded, "I promise."
Shippo gave a big smile and hugged Ryoga around the neck, "Great! Thank-you Ryoga-kun!"
"No problem Shippo." Smiled Ryoga.
