Whoa!! Who is this guy?! He's so...! So handsome...
Now, many terms can be used to describe Kasuga Ayumu, also known as "Osaka." The most prominent ones, as even her closest friends and classmates would gladly assert, were "spacey," "narcoleptic" and "really out of it." For the most part, those descriptions are quite accurate. Even Ayumu herself would gladly agree to those descriptions.
However, whenever Ayumu wasn't distracted by things like Chiyo's pigtails, dust particles in the air, bread-eating races or being forced to speak in Kansai dialect, she still possessed the normal urges and desires of a young woman her age.
And right now, thanks to one man named Moroboshi Ataru...
...she was now feeling those urges and desires for ANOTHER man named Moroboshi Ataru.
Could only happen to Kasuga Ayumu, eh?
"Please, Moroboshi-san. Allow me."
Ayumu turned as Sakaki walked up to lift her out of that handsome fellow's arms. A flash of disappointment flowed through her as her classmate pulled her close to her, though she didn't make any visual signs of her feelings. "Arigatou, Sakaki-san," he acknowledged her with a nod, then briefly glanced at Ayumu. Sensing that gaze, Ayumu felt her heart skip several beats.
This was a VERY good feeling...
"DESTROYED?!!"
"Affirmative, Master," the humanoid Cylon now called "Miroku" replied. "Also, all units of Group 'Azudai' have been freed."
Ataru growled. "What's the status of Group 'Nibunoichi?!'"
"All units have been reprogrammed and imprinted with your bio-data. They can be deployed."
"Do so!! Now!!!"
"By your command, Master."
"What now?" Yomi asked.
"We get you ladies out of here," Ataru replied, reaching into his tunic to draw out a small communicator. "Moroboshi to Windrider."
"Windrider," a woman's voice replied. "What is your status, Venerable?"
"'Venerable?!'" Yukari wondered.
"First group of hostages are free and ready for transport out of this place," Ataru announced.
Everyone else acked. Save Ayumu that is; she was still gazing fondly at Ataru. "'HOSTAGES?!?!?!"
"Acknowledged," came the reply from orbit. "Venerable, our sensors are detecting a group of human females now approaching your position from the direction of the base's core. Their ETA your present position will be about ten minutes. Also, the starship Voyager has deployed a ground team to search out other areas of the base."
"Right! Okay, lock in on all human bio-signatures around me and beam them out!"
"Acknowledged, Venerable. Energizing!"
Terrified screams and gasping cries of surprise escape the AzuDai girls as teleportation beams seize them and whisk them off into orbit. All save Ayumu, who waves at her rescuer before she disappeared from sight...
"Master, all bio-signatures of everyone from Group 'Azudai' have vanished."
"WHAT?!!"
"Further, there are several other groups now entering the base from various directions."
"WHAT?!?!"
Now what?
