Ukyou wasn't certain whether to laugh or cry. Sure, she was honored by the responsibility ... if it didn't kill her. And it was as the only MALE of appropriate age. Her father seemed to think her worthy of the duty ... maybe ... unless he was afraid to say anything ... If this wasn't the most screwed-up, backhanded compliment she'd ever ... if it even WAS a compliment! 'Ahh, forget that for now. Let's get that crate open.'
Using her own BAS to pry open the crate was child's play, but what she found inside took her aback somewhat. Inside the crate was what appeared to be a coffin - or at least it was an appropriate size. Obviously of expensive manufacture, the oak cabinet had legs to allow it to stand upright, with a single full-length door and carrying handles on the sides appropriate for pall-bearers. A key lock on the side matched a rather ornate key included in the envelope, and allowed access to the contents.
With some trepidation, Ukyou lugged the cabinet out of the crate and pushed it to an open spot against the wall, and delayed opening it to remove the packing materials from her shop. Given that she WASN'T a male, she wasn't certain if it was safe to be opening the thing in the first place.
